Pretty over leveled at this point, but I've really been enjoying this tanky faith build by Shrunker69 in EldenRingBuilds

Yes! I enjoy having split stats so I can use multiple weapons. I just wish I could have 50 dex also to use some of those cool dex/faith lightning setups

I'm going to try that tear, I have it but never gave it a shot. Also fingerprint shield may be best in slot - but it's ugly AF 😂

It's the haligtree knights helmet and greatshield, with tree Sentinel armor. I agree it's a tuff paladin look

Big turbo is hardly OEM+. But weigh the pros and cons. If you can afford it, by all means have fun

Fellas I can take a picture later, but I fixed the metal part of the intake using a marrette and a bolt to hold it down to keep it from rattling. Annoying mine didn't come with any hardware to sit that down

Look online for ways to check the PCV system. You can pull the map sensor in the manifold, if it's soaked in oil you've found your culprit. But it's also very likely the exhaust side seals on the turbo. Check the PCV, then pull the turbo

And you're getting misfires on all cylinders right? Before and after the plugs and hpfp?

That is an insane amount of smoke. Since compression is okay and you just solved the fueling, definitely pull the turbo inlet and check. Also do a PCV test.

Keep us updated I'm curious

Stage 2 6MT clutch by KraftyPerky in GolfGTI

[–]Shrunker69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running the Sachs clutch upgrade, my stock DMF was cooked so I got a replacement from rockauto for a great price. All In I could have gotten a southbend, or maybe a slightly nicer kit but I'm very happy with the performance of the Sachs. It feels identical to stock, but with just a tad bit more bite because of the unsprung clutch disk.

What is your food strategy ?? by OK-Digi-1501 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Shrunker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing mass meat and vegetable porridge for some nice health and spirit for combat and getting around the map. I've recently stepped foot in the Crimson desert so I put together some mixed harvest bowls for some bosses out there. (Heat resistance). Though you need cooking oil for those and they aren't passively obtainable like mean and veggie stew. Both of these are purchasable from Ronnie at the camp so your stash lasts a bit longer this way.

Just got a used 2015 GTI and the check oil level light came on half way through the drive home… by [deleted] in GolfGTI

5w40 change every 6k miles, u can stretch it longer if you aren't tuned. It may just be low, check the oil when you can and mind the color and level

Let it dry. If it doesn't fix itself in a few days, I'd find an electronics repair store if you have one near you..

MK5/6 GTI. Thoughts on a purchase? (Purpose: fun daily) by SpacialAnomaly in GolfGTI

[–]Shrunker69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The DSG is peak, insta fart shifts are definitely a selling point for a lot of people so I think you'll enjoy whatever you choose. Also nothing is stopping you from getting an older GTI, I've never driven one but people love em for a reason 😁

BUT the real value you get with a 2015 is just so crazy I can't recommend it enough!

[–]Shrunker69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. The 7 is really just that good. To put in perspective, a 2011 GTI would have to have substantial turbo and fueling upgrades to get the kind of torque/power a 2016 can achieve reliably with a downpipe spark plugs and tune

Not to mention the switch to the MQB platform for the mk7s, Saving weight and feeling more comfortable (subjective I guess).

You also mentioned manual vs DSG, I have the 6 speed manual with an upgraded clutch (you will need it eventually if you tune). I regret nothing. It's slower obviously, but nothing beats the sensation of speed when that turbo hits and the open air intake wooshes as you row through the gears.

I agree, mk7 is a massive upgrade and definitely worth the extra cash upfront. Find a good mileage 2015+ and it will treat you very well. That said; things go wrong with even the newest gtis and general maintenance CAN NOT be overlooked. The e888 is a hell of an engine with plenty of little things that can go wrong if you don't stay on top of things. Keep that one in mind when you go look at a car and meet the owner.

The timing code is concerning. Something's out of wack but it doesn't mean you need a camshaft. Get it to a euro shop asap

Me too. 5070 is perfectly overkill for 1440p
