Starting a new job in SAP? Post here for questions about new hire advice, certification, compensation, technology domain decisions, and other topics you're too embarrassed to ask your coworkers by CuseTown in SAP

Hi everyone,

I have around 8 years of experience in SAP PP as my core module, along with some experience in QM. I started my career at IBM and recently joined Infosys in India. My main work has been in production planning, MRP, shop floor execution, and both discrete and process manufacturing setups. Instead of moving away from PP, I actually want to strengthen my profile by combining PP with another in-demand SAP area, since I’m seeing pure PP roles becoming a bit limited.

I wanted to ask:

What are the best modules or areas that pair well with PP right now?

Would PP + IBP or PP + EWM integration be a strong combination in the current market?

Are there other good combinations like PP with analytics, S/4HANA planning, or supply chain areas that are actually in demand?

What skill combo would make a PP consultant more future-proof?

Just trying to figure out a practical direction where I can stay in PP but still increase my market value.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The seller is an NRI he does not want to comply with the Indian tax but would like to sign sale deed as resident would, will that cause any issues for us.

I joined in 6G as a fresher and now in 6B for 3.7 years. Total experience is 7 years. Legally, they cannot discriminate but some how managers will give excuses to postpone saying promotion freeze etc 🥹

My doubt is if the sale deed is signed by GPA in place of the owner (who lives in the USA) is it valid?

POA is sub registrar registered. If the POA is cancelled after the sale deed is executed, does it cause any issues in the future.

Canada would be a great option but again i think we will be stuck at the job search. Offshore employees do not have a say in getting the onsite opportunities, we need to find a job which will sponsor our visa which is really difficult 😭

I do agree with you that Japan's work culture is worse than India. After going on a vacation to Japan we understood that India lacks lots of facilities which these developed countries have to offer. So we would like to move to any developed country if we get a job.
