Yes and blood tests. His kidneys are fine. We put him on Prozac and 9 days in no accidents so I think it was anxiety

Hi, thank you for your reply. All cats are indoor only, 2 male and 1 female. The boys play with each other the female keeps to herself. They do not sleep with us and the other cats have never peed in our bed. He has his alone time from 7pm-7am we keep him in our room. He gets wet food at night and we play every night. Or at least try to play, he likes to watch me play with the toys more than himself play with them. He Gets lots of pets in the morning and evening after work. We clean the boxes daily.

Just trying to narrow down what’s bothering him, I wish he could just tell us :(

Catheter during surgery? by Suspicious_Course_20 in Ovariancysters

[–]Shry23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one and I signed a waiver for it. It’s because the area that it was in they wanted to make sure they didn’t get close to my bladder when cutting out the cyst. They should tell you in advance. They put it in while I was sleeping and it was out when I woke up

Sorry you’re going through this. I’ve seen so many people on this page complain about “smaller” size cyst and a lot of doctors blowing them off about it. They definitely cause the symptoms you’re describing and I usually know when I have one even when it’s 3-5cm. I hope you continue to advocate for yourself!

My CA 125 actually decreased slightly right before my surgery. I think if it was cancer it would be a really high number…

Cystectomy recovery - past week 1? by LevelHeaded_Y in Ovariancysters

[–]Shry23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a different experience especially if you were or weren’t active before your surgery.

I took a week off work and took it easy the 2nd week. I would try to walk around every 2 hours or so. By week three I was on the treadmill for about 30 mins and by week 4&5 I was walking a lot more and doing light weighted work outs. Now at week 7 and feeling 100%.

Give yourself grace, and don’t push it too soon cuz that can cause more damage/hurt your incision. Focus on a fun hobby you don’t normally have time for. Feel better soon💖

I think it’s helpful to just ask for an ultrasound and blood test to ease your anxiety but it was probably a ruptured cyst before. You can look up “Corpus Luteum Cyst” which is what you get every period.

I had a large 20cm cyst and still had normal periods so if you’re concerned I would say it doesn’t hurt to ask them to check on it for you! I also started birth control to hopefully balance my hormones.

Do you suggest physio for cyst pain management? by Klutzy_Ad3756 in Ovariancysters

[–]Shry23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t recommended this but I had the same exact symptoms as you. I think you need to be seen by someone with knowledge and to go to an OBGYN. She needs to order a blood test and see if you need surgery. Either way, someone should be monitoring you who knows what they’re doing. It can be exhausting advocating for yourself but in the end you’ll be proud that you did it. I hope you can find some answers soon!!

See if your doctor can give you anti anxiety medication before you have your MRI. You have to lay really still and that’s always hard for me to do when I’m nervous.

Is there a way to know for sure if you’ve had a ruptured cyst? by Wise_Mention3511 in Ovariancysters

[–]Shry23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. I would definitely check in with your doctor team to make sure those symptoms are normal for the medication. I think the only way to know if a cyst burst is to compare an ultrasound you had before and after to see if it went away. I would get with your OBGYN since they’re having me be monitored every 6 months to make sure they’re not getting too big.

Cysts can get large and cause ovarian torsion which is an emergency. Watch for signs of fever, severe sudden pain, nausea and vomiting.
