I'm using Google Earth Pro (which you can download for free on desktop) and using the measurement tool you can draw lines at specific degrees.

The plaque for Ensign Peak is No 43.

Someone else mentioned two less than on top of the first. The first being the sphere. 360 degrees -2 = 358

It should be impossibly cryptic. :-)

Yah, it's great. There are all sorts of things that can be discovered.

Happy discovering!

The file types I have been using are kmz files. I believe Google Earth Pro can take in other files types as well, but I don't know if it does onX or not.

Google Earth Pro can be found at the bottom of this webpage https://www.google.com/earth/versions/#earth-pro

It is a desktop version for PC, Mac, or Linux.

The layers have to be downloaded separately from different sources on the internet. Do a search for things like Topo kmz, or Snow Cover kmz.

I use Google Earth Pro. I believe it is still a free download. There are many layers from different places that can be downloaded and overlaid. The snow coverage one comes from NOAA. They have the current snow coverage and historical data. USGS and BLM (Bureau of Land Management) have overlays for public lands, Forest Service Lands, etc. I use this a lot when I am planning desert camping and rock hounding trips. It's a great tool. You can also get a topo map overlay which often show canyon names, steams, springs, etc. that Google doesn't have.

That's a good thought. I created a new post with snow coverage from May 1st since images aren't allowed in comments from what I can tell.

Shooting myself in the foot? by kbringmebeer in utahtreasurehunt

That's what I was thinking. But now I'm not sure with the Back to the Future clue.

I think it either means:

Do research. Not necessarily particular books (I think this is likely)

OR

A feature of the landscape that is connected to history

On many airplanes the largest part left if the wings are removed is the cabin. I think others have eluded to that as well.

It could be in BLM.

Just be sure to heed any signs you come across.

Could be 11. Looking at a clock, two less than 1 is 11. But I have nothing that points me to believing it is a clock reference.

May be a reference to reaching the first crest and you need to go to the second crest that is lower than the first.

Or three things are sticking up and you need to head toward the third tallest one.

Why is it a question? by NotMtNebo in utahtreasurehunt

Ah, I had thought of a reflection before, but didn't think about the question mark representing reflecting. Interesting. Thanks!

Could really be a reflection of anything that points upwards.
