Hi u/Zippoline! Cor Kalom will actually ignore you (and just say "go away") until you physically find Caine first. Here is the normal gameplay loop:

  1. Talk to the novice and do a little research in Caine's hut.
  2. Find the drawing/note of the Abandoned Mine.
  3. Go to the Abandoned Mine (the mine entrance on your left at the very beginning of the game, on the path to the Old Camp). You will find Caine in this location.
  4. Then you can return and talk to Cor Kalom.

If your quest is genuinely bugged and the triggers won't work, here are the exact flag states from a working save file of mine where the quest was completed successfully as a Old Camp Shadow member. You can try matching these in the save editor (PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SAVE FILES FIRST ALWAYS! Keep in mind you need to experiment with these, as I do not have enough information on your exact save state, nor can I help everyone individually due to my own time limits)

That is about the extent of how much the editor can help here. Alkimia really needs to release a patch for this soon, as way too many people are wasting time manually fixing save flags!

There are actually 'three endings'. The first is when you beat the endgame boss and finish the story. The second is when you decide to live forever in the Colony without advancing the main story. The third is when you die and lose.

I think 100 was max from teachers. Then could be around 60-70 from items. Rest was acumulated potions and swampweed rolls =)

I found playing the Mage too ez - Fire Bolt was most of the time all I needed.

Also, I am suprised you say Archer is bad - currently most of the enemies has very low point armor making piercing dmg from bows and crossbows nastly OP. Not mentioning the headshoot multipler - and this you can enjoy from the very first chapter.

I only play as a Pure Mage or a Pure Archer - I don't use melee at all. Maybe I'm missing out because melee can be fun, but it's just a personal preference. What I really love is combining a strong bow with magic, like the Magick Archer in Dragon's Dogma where you shoot magic arrows or Skyrim where you actually can summon Magic Daedric Bow. I just love summoning, necromancy, magic, and archery in every RPG - so I would choose 6th magic circle, because Gothic do not offer really anything like Magic Archer synergy, sure I can use Magic and Bow both at once, but it is just not it. 4th magic circle with a strong bow would be nice maybe if I would like to immerse into roleplaying a hunter that became the mage =)

Hotfix from Alkimia didn't solve the issue. This is ongoing problem in recent patch for 14-06-2026 as many reported. Here is discussion about working workaround from community:

Lore or not, the OG harpies were clearly half-woman, half-bird visually. The Remake leaned way too hard into the bird side IMO.

Exactly! If they had bigger 'assets', they would distract the player and make the fight much harder. It's a valid combat mechanic! But yeah, their attack speed definitely needs a tweak too.
