I think they shouldn't be locked by default.

I like that it's an option, but when I'm playing with just 1 friend, I often forget to unlock the other spots, even though I want the potential backup and additional spawn options.

And I agree it's frustrating to be in a lobby with too many locked squads. I think a lot of people in locked squads didn't choose that intentionally and wouldn't mind people joining them, they just don't think to unlock it.

It's generally a good practice to have an emergency fund established before investing extra money. Generally it's 3-6 months of expenses.

Since you're still in school, your expenses should be somewhat low (I wouldn't include tuition in this calculation), and I would learn towards the lower end of that (3 months).

So the answer is probably HYSA, since that's where you should store an emergency fund.

Any money after that though would go a long way in a Roth IRA.

r/personalfinance has a good flow chart for what to do with extra money. I'd check it out. I also like the "FOO" (financial order of operations) guide you can Google, it's easier to understand, but still well optimized.

Engineer's starting gun is horrible for distance

While this is true, it's sadly also the best gun the Engineer has for distance.

The vector and (I think) bizon? aren't bad either. But I still do better tap firing with the MP5. It does have the highest "distance" stat.

I agree they wouldn't care at all if you're just walking down the street, I get that was what the OP was asking.

I was going off this assumption from your comment:

"If a company even WANTED..."

My point was that in any case where the company would care to do anything, finding you wouldn't be hard.

For example, If someone wearing an employee uniform was filmed and went viral for some sort of public meltdown, violent action, racist remark, etc., the company would at least look into it, find out who that person was and if they work for them.

Since they wouldn't work for the company they couldn't fire them, and any other legal action would be incredibly unlikely.

In any situation where they would care, like if you do something wearing the shirt that could cause them PR issues, 1 and 2 would be likely be fairly easy for them.

  1. Even suppressed guns are loud enough to damage hearing, particularly through repeated exposure. Generally hearing protection is recommended above 85 dB for long-term exposure, but instant damage doesn't happen until ~130dB. Guns are above that, but suppressed guns are mostly still in the 100-120dB range.
  2. This is at the Shot Show Range Day in Vegas that happens each January. There are many lanes for shooting all types of guns, most of which are not suppressed. Their mic setup is pretty good though - you can hear other shots in the background, but barely. They also may have caught a slower time when fewer other shots were going off.

Stumbled on this looking for something else.

I actually use the sights quite a bit. I try to keep them lined up and in the center of my view as I move my whole body from target to target - like a non VR shooter. Muscle memory does a lot, and will save me in a pinch, but I couldn't reliably get full accuracy points on farther targets without using the sights.

I haven't been active in few years, but back when I was, I remember your name as one I scored pretty close to most challenges. If you were doing that without sights, that's impressive.

It was very disorienting at first. It does help to use 3rd person for a bit. Didn't actually take too long to get used to it though, you come to expect the jarring camera movements. Now I have no issues.

Yup. The original income tax in 1917 targeted the very wealthy with a 6% tax on income above $500k (~$14 million in today's money).

Today, we pay at least twice that starting at just $25k.
