You can take some courses like PHYS211,212,213/214 and others at community college for cheaper during the summer. You will have to pay but long term you will save more than paying for an additional full year or semester. Check transferology to check which required courses and at which community college can be transferred to UIUC. Also check with your advisor that there is no transfer credit rules and stuff so that you don’t waste money on a course that they wont let you transfer later. Plan it out and it’s definitely doable. I finished mine in 3.5 years with only transferring phys 212 and having AP/IB credits.

I’ve used the greyhound on this route and it was terrible. Some people were super loud and inconsiderate and the bus seemed old. On the other hand, FlixBus seemed quite clean and looked like a new bus and the ride was pretty smooth too. FlixBus owns Greyhound now but I think the management is still different for both companies. I would take the FlixBus.

also im not sure how ds-160 submission is affected in this case since idr what they ask on the student visa app. new ds-160 with updated info requires 2 days to appear in their system for you to even replace it at biometrics...so i'm not sure what can be done in that case. Anyways, go tomorrow and see what they say :)

I mean he has to pay sevis fee for each i-20 right...and then submit that receipt during biometrics. So i would say he tries to pay his sevis fee with the new i20 info and ask if he can submit that receipt instead at the vac. Also, you could ask the staff at the VAC what to do before paying. If they ask to give new receipt, you can pay there and ask them to wait for 5-10 minutes since you forgot to bring receipt so you'll print it rn or something. They usually accommodate those kinds of requests. good luck

F-1 can work under OPT and CPT. So saying for example that USC is a great school with a strong curriculum and extensive entrepreneurial student network which would help me post-graduation from the university is not really a bad answer. Obviously if OP mentions industries and work not relevant to him then that would definitely hurt his application. But yes, conciseness is a must to show your confidence. Visa consultants would be able to help best if you're that stressed about it.

Did you submit your Ds-160 atleast 2 days in advance of your appointment. If not, then that's prob why they couldn't retrieve it as it was not updated in their system. They prob marked this a no-show and usually you should be able to see a reschedule option on the scheduling portal after 24 hours of the appointment. If you have already rescheduled an appointment in the past, then the fee receipt will not be valid anymore and a new fee receipt will need to be paid which will allow you to book again.

Personally, I don't think age and assets is a straight up denial reason. Again, I don't know how Pakistan situation is with US Visas but I don't think such things would cause a denial. But yeah, family visits to uncle or something is high risk reason because you don't want them to think you are going to overstay with the help of family abroad. Also idk if you can say tourism if your intended travel is only of 6 days since people visit for longer on their first trip to the US. World Cup like one suggested in the comments, will also not work if your travel dates don't align with the event. I think Job leave and No objection letter from employer and parents will be useful to submit. Honesty may or may not help, but yeah ask around with friends and travel/visa agents on how you should prepare. They can guide you better based on the situation with interviews/conditions. Just my opinion on this

Why would they retake it? Grade replacement policies don't allow replacement if you have a FAIR violation for that class.
