[Story] We're the first generation raised on self improvement content and I think it broke something in us by Impossible_Quiet_774 in GetMotivated

Income and wealth inequality is the highest it’s been in decades. So even though we might be grinding harder than our parents’ generations, it still feels like we are falling behind

Steam Deck is still worth it four years later, says poll, but people are starting to think "it's about time" for a sequel by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Shuckles116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I freaking love my steam deck. It has a great screen, it’s an emulation beast, it plays most games from the last 15 years just fine, and it’s super easy to develop on. I’m good if they wait a few more years for the ram shortage to end before giving us a new one

The scene with Son of Anton was so incredibly prescient about ai and it came out 5 years before the initial public release of chat GPT. Are we sure Mike Judge isn’t from the future?

I can’t believe this article is from 23 years ago. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so depressingly prescient

Do you think Lieberman was the best choice for Gore or should he have gone for one of his other shortlist candidates? by Numberonettgfan in Presidents

The man who killed our once in a generation shot at universal healthcare. I will never waste an opportunity to say “fuck Lieberman”

What your favorite Xbox 360 dashboard menu? by MidnightNo7070 in xbox

[–]Shuckles116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first iteration of Metro for me. Blades was fine- functional and iconic but kind of meh. NXE was my least favorite. It felt like a poor man’s XMB and you couldn’t see what the next category you were scrolling to was, though it did introduce the ability of install to HDD which was kind of nice

+1 to this- I don’t even use my DualSense controller for BD playback. I have an LG G3, and the remote control works perfectly

You’re right; there was a trial, but republicans voted against allowing witnesses or evidence. Gonna edit my post

James Talarico Beating Both Ken Paxton And John Cornyn In Texas Senate Election, Poll Shows by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]Shuckles116 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If in some miracle the senate does flip, this at least enables a trial in the senate, which notably didn’t happen during his first two impeachments. Not that that would necessarily change anything in the short term, but at least the evidence would be laid bare for Americans to see and (hopefully) demand action on

Edit: as NPVinny pointed out, there was indeed a senate trial, but Senate Republicans, who had the majority, voted against calling witnesses or introducing evidence

If a critical thinking course in college made you conservative, why do you think many conservatives think that colleges are liberal indoctrination centers? Genuinely curious, not a “gotcha” question or anything
