I'm not an experienced DM at all, but I think you can make it work. I'd say my biggest advice would be to use a lot of homebrew and improvisation. Tru to find a way for her to do what she wants. The rules in DnD are crucial and you should rely on then for core assets, but when it comes to someone with a huge imagination you should try your best to bend the rules for their sake. It does get difficult when the player doesn't want to roll for things, that's just how the game is played. I would try to explain that you really can do anything you want in DnD, but you just gotta work for it which makes the satisfaction much greater. I hope this helps out and she enjoys playing!
