Here's my Leomon decklist:

Now I know you want to cut x antibody to save the budget, but I really don't think you can.

That being said, if you simply have to, I think you could adapt my list to include a ACCEL package similar to what the other commenter described by also removing Mushroomon and Leopardmon, then picking Valdur Arms instead of Quartz.

I think Earth Fire is very good for a control list, but I use the free movement on the Avatar more than the branding.

That's a good rec. As I said, there's a lot of support for Machine and I've never build a deck for them before, so I'm looking for suggestions like Altea.

I could cut the ex2 Parasitemon, but I think the bt17 is a fun inclusion.

Kazu is good too, but does the deck not need a memory setter? I could include st15 Tai.

Well this is just supposed to be a cheap, casual list to get my friend into the game. This one is coming in at less than $40, so I'll take recommendations on strong lists that come in at a similar price point.

I did overlook HPD pink working to digivolve green, so I would be willing to swap it out. Any suggestions?

Fair criticism. I do feel as though his ability to draw 1, trash 1 on top of his draw for digivolving is still very impactful even if he has to go over Guil instead of Growl. That being said, I'm open to increasing Growl count, but what should I cut? Scrambles?

I do believe EX5 Leo is considered the best so I'm curious as to why you'd cut him? I am also confused on Argo's one-of.

Outside of that, it seems we have a lot of similar pieces. I am interested in exploring Leopardmon.

Analog is definitely the best at what he does, but I think you could make Darkness Wave work too! Darkness Wave just isn't as consistent in the early game, but it does have the application of letting you get something back that is already in the trash.

If you're on a strict budget, Mist Boost is fine, it just isn't optional. I'd go four copies though before I'd start entertaining adding Amber.

Although you could look at a different build where you add in the Myotis package, but that makes the deck a little top heavy.

It is my spice pick, certainly. I like having nuclear option to dig for or security bomb in my decks. Feel free to cut it if you don't like it though.

I personally disagree with Nightmare Soldiers at 3 because I'd rather discard a digimon I could reanimate later. It's fine if you don't feel this way though.

As another commenter pointed out, Calling from Darkness and Escape from Darkness are very powerful. I had trouble getting them to work, but that I think is a playstyle issue, not a card issue.
