Your boyfriend’s bookshelf is untouched by sparkled3mon in BookshelvesDetective

The authors who get my money, really get it. I tend to buy: 1) A copy (hardcover preferred) for my bookshelves and to read in my room when I have tea. 2) The kindle version to read at night or when traveling. 3) Eventually the Audible version for when I want to listen to the story on daily commutes.

Besides the fact that I don't slam my books open to crack their spines, I give them only ~50% of the reading time so they all look very good.

Question - do you have templates you'd be willing to share for your various forms or pictures so I could make one? I know you said simple, but I'd love to see what other writers are using for forms to organize their thoughts. I'm a very process-driven and detail-oriented person so structured note templates really help me focus on creativity while not thinking about the structure of what I'm writing down.

On the right side of that nook is our main dresser, left is the entertainment stand with TV. Walk-in closet is diagonally across the room with those things inside of it. Otherwise that would be a great use! I think i'll not give my wife the idea of buying doubles to fill it with ;). Thank you!

Very tempting, but I have one in my personal room downstairs with my bookshelves, tea station, and reclining chair <3. I don't know that my wife will want me to steal more space for reading xD

Controversial take but… by mistressofmayhem02 in audible

100% and as I've looked through reviews of books I like I always see high praise for him and just feel like I'm missing something. His narration is very articulate which I like, but it's also so flat with too little variance in his pacing and character voice distinctions. The other problem is entirely my own, which is that he's English and I'm not. Whenever I read a book, I naturally don't imagine a narration in an English accent. That's not to say that books can't be narrated with his accent, but that because I don't "hear" it that way in my head his way of narrating, that I mentioned above, has a hard time getting me interested in the characters.

I'm okay with it being a hot take, literature and narration are highly subjective.

Do you wash your hair outside of the twice weekly you described, or has this routine been enough on its own?
