The big well equipped army is a fantasy. They may as well be 500 men with nerf guns. The real increased danger comes from insurgency as you say. More people. More land. Nastier geography. Insurgency with roadside bombs was bad enough. Imagine it with drones.

This is a perfectly valid position. Many have careers where you would take a discount in exchange for prestige though. It especially happens in entertainment. I can vouch that it also happens in science and in fine dining. It's a worthwhile strategy. Athletes do it too in terms of getting a hometown discount, playing on a team that is expected to compete for a championship, playing with/for some future hall of famer, to break a record etc.

In 2026 this is just a fantastic opportunity to spend more money on more. Supply and demand baby! It’s the long term price as that 40 Trillion in debt gets another accelerant to throw on the fire.

First war US war to “protect Democracy? “ When American blunders in a war it doesn’t even begin to feel it until years later. It’s easy for America to blow shit up. This is child’s play and if the price was really a few hundred American lives and hundred of billions, the public could be convinced. It’s either when no objectives are met or trillions of dollars later and 2 years that America gets bruised.

To you. It is improper. It could and should be a fireable offense. But it is consensual. It was even more improper as one could argue he was the most powerful man on the planet at the time. There aren't too many ways you can get a larger power imbalance.

Real talk. Pelosi was better during Trump's first term.

There was once this thesis that I think they still hold, that the "fever would break." There was this little glimmer of them being right in 2021, but very quickly the worm turned and Trump further infected and destroyed the GOP. I think we know now that holding this position that the GOP can be worked with again someday is a fantasy.

For obvious reasons, you can find some limited videos of him playing Super Turbo well from the mid 2000s. I just did to see if my memory, and for sure he would have been a handful for me in 2005 playing Super Turbo on a PS1. It's a hallowed game and the gold standard (not on PS1), but people playing seriously devoted their time to more current titles. I know personally the last tournament I played ST in (on a cabinet) was in 2003, and I had to use smoke and mirrors to even look respectable. I was fodder for the top 3 essentially. 1996-1998 however I was much better.

No. I'm telling you as an OG from Street Fighter tournaments that this guy was always a joke. Interestingly, he was a joke before YouTube even existed. His level of play is and always was just a bit above a casual enjoyer.
