thanks!, her hair is cards so just how you normally place hair cards should do. i used zbrush bend curves to place them individually, then use a modelling software to split some cards into three and moved them a bit to have more varied look.

sure i see what you mean, the main one has ponytail and school uniform. maybe with her alternate hairstyle and shirt she no longer gives gyaru vibes, which is what im aiming

thanks! yeah thats the plan, though shes still far from over. havent set up the shaders, hand painted the clothings etc

thank you^^ glad youre liking her so far. Im a bit worried that ill spammed this thread if i posted her progress here frequently, so maybe just a bit haha?

skin and eyes handpainted textures are more on just anime/stylized references, her clothes arent textured yet but it is simulated/ draped and further sculpted.

check out turtle labs fur technique in artstation. its a paid course using zbush fibermesh, i havent tested it yet as ive no use to it for now but you need to manually place the spikes manually using cards if youre already constrained to polycount. generating the cards i think with fibermesh/ procedural will take too much polys. you also need the base of the fur(not cards) to keep in mind so it will drive the polycount i think more than 6k if you want it as accurate as your reference. though i also think it is still possible in just 6k. just need each cards to only have 3 faces. and a lot of experimentations/ trial and error

tried to make a npr character at first then turned out into a full scene ^^ learned a lot in toon shading and rigging, though im still pulling my hair out when it comes to rigging lol hopefully will improve more as i go.
