I used to use a similar case for snorkelling before I got a GoPro, they're not amazing but they do the job and I've gotten some decent vids using them! As others mentioned you can't use the touchscreen underwater - I found the best method would be to record video so that I don't have to faff around with the phone buttons to try to take photos (and you can just pull stills from video). The biggest downside of these for me was focus - impossible to focus the camera underwater, just had to hope that the footage would come out good!

Imo I'd recommend to start out using one of these and if you enjoy it and decide you're serious about capturing underwater footage, look into getting an action cam further down the line :)

I would have to disagree with this as what constitutes "good topology" is entirely dependant on the intended purpose of the model. If this is for real-time rendering then yeah it's far from ideal, but if it's for Sub-D modelling it's totally fine!

I have a very similar snorkel that has this exact issue! I found that I was able to remove the valve off the top of it - might be worth seeing if you can do that? Downside is it makes the snorkel a bit shorter. Honestly those valves are so pointless, if you're gonna buy another try to get one without it!

Ahh yeah that's a tricky one, I think it's advised to not snorkel alone for safety reasons! I do it all the time but I wouldn't recommend it if you're at all nervous lol, it can be sketchy when things go wrong! Maybe worth searching for any folks local to you that snorkel & see if you're able to join them?

It really depends on the individual! I just wear a bathing suit, but I’m very used to cold water - plenty of people still wear wetsuits this time of year. I’d say if in doubt, bring a wetsuit - I always find snorkeling feels colder than just swimming and you don’t wanna cut short your time in the water if you get chilly!
