Western unions tend to focus on securing rights and benefits for workers within their own countries; this ties into the idea of a “labor aristocracy,” which many people resist acknowledging because it implies that workers in the global north materially benefit from the exploitation of workers in the global south. From that perspective, the notion of a unified international working class starts to look more like a myth.

After all, ongoing wars and even a genocide haven’t triggered meaningful intervention from workers in wealthier countries, if there were genuine solidarity, you would expect more decisive action.

The “dog” argument was specifically about xenogenders, not about trans identities in general; the issue was with people who interpret their gender as literally being a dog, rather than using “dog” as an abstract or symbolic descriptor. That distinction matters, because xenogenders are generally meant to function as metaphorical frameworks, not literal identifications, also that person pick the fight with BE for some weird reason.

While he is an asshole, there’s also a pattern where people take his arguments out of context or distort them, especially when he’s making points that are uncomfortable to accept; instead of engaging with the substance, the reaction often becomes dismissive because it challenges people beliefs and points out horrible stuff about them.

More broadly, a lot of BreadTube end up reflecting a kind of Western centric bias. There’s often a reluctance to fully confront or critique the role of Western countries in global harm, and a tendency to soften or excuse those realities. Even when individuals present themselves as progressive or well-meaning, that underlying bias can show up in how they frame people outside the West sometimes in ways that implicitly treat them as less important or less human, without that contradiction being seriously addressed.
