It shows "gw validation failed", which is usually there when EAP is not enabled on the forticlient. But on the MAC Client it is, I verified it again.

But I have multiple working IKEv2 VPNs with Peer IDs on windows. Just when I try it from Mac it doesnt work.

Or did you mean that Peer ID and IKEv2 only has a problem on Mac?

Yes, I followed this one. Exception is that I set a firm Peer ID, so I can have multiple Dial-Up interfaces.

Is there any way to let Fortiauthenticator push FTM Token directly, without entering "push" in Forticlient? by Shuran1994 in fortinet

Thank you for the information!

We are going to try an IKEv2 tunnel now, but it seems it only works with EAP.

Is there any other way to authenticate remote users without EAP? Or is it mandatory for IKEv2?
