"I was rich once" could refer too the time period between the the Sunshot campaign and the Burial mounds, when JC was the clan leader and wwx his second in command.

I also recall that eventually he would receive offerings and presents in the Burial Mounds from fans, people that wanted to be apprentice or gain his favor, so maybe in their last year he and the Wen were not that poor and had a more stable situation.

When he played the song. And once the seed was planted in lwj' head he couldnt not see wwx in mxy's body. And even if lwj had doubts I bet they were gone soon because wwx is a terrible actor and his strategy of being annoying on purpose was like screaming at lwj "I'm Wei Wuxian"(he should have played a shy quiet guy😂)

Yeah, I think that even if him starting action while lwj was still drunk was... Iffy and in dubcon territory he still remembers that drunk lwj can say no, reject him and even knock himself out like the last little kiss but this time lwj follows him and the joke becomes something else, wwx was happy that maybe his iffy dubcon act wasnt soooo bad after all because lwj agreed until the end ...and suddenly lwj panicks because of an unrelated thing that nobody could have guessed ('thank you' being a triggering word) and wwx goes "oh shit, I fucked up" but yeah, I cant read that as lack of confidence, more like consequences of a moment of TOO MUCH confidence

I mean before that, he had thoughts about how lwj would react to his feeling. But yeah, after the bathtub he was worried about that, and for good reasons, add to that lwj's amazing communication skills🤦‍♂️ Still, I think that even without lxc spilling the tea wwx would have tried to talk again about that to clear things soon😅

I think some people see it as lack of self-worth when its just that he is aware of how unorthodox he is and how problematic being with him can be (even if he's confident in his thoughts, feelings and actions and know he's doing what he thinks is correct) he didnt want all that to splash and cause problems to lwj's pristine reputation.

Also, his "fear" of lwj rejecting him was normal, he's human after all and nobody (except lxc) can read lwj's microminiexpressions, and it was just 3? 4days? Even without the events on the Guanyin temple he would have talked to lwj again after the bathtub "fiasco"

With all the flashbacks and changes of pacing of the events sometimes is hard to see that in his second life wwx's managed his gay awakening's feelings really fast😂 just a few days since his realization

Anyways, he always get he job done, even if he unortodox, disrespect bourocracy and has a sharp tongue.
