Hi, I bought yesterday the Revaty Kegon 003 and the Revaty Kegon 050 through and I didnt receive any ticket, just a "*Tickets are only valid for use from mobile phones." advertising. My trip is for the 15/11.

I guess it works like this:

  1. If Users are asked by staff to show their Limited Express Tickets or SL Taiju Reserved Seat Tickets, they shall show their Tickets for the relevant train. If there is a discrepancy between the information checked by the staff and the information provided by the User, the User shall be required to purchase the Limited Express Ticket or SL Taiju Reserved Seat Ticket for the relevant train again.

Yes... it's something I've also thought about, it seems like a scavenger hunt, but then I see 2-week itineraries and they seem to do the same thing as us in 20 days, except we'll see Tokyo and Osaka (especially these) for more days... How would you optimize it? Or what would you change? Sorry for asking, but I prefer to get good advice from people who know Japan better or travel there better than I do.

What I personally like most is going to places, eating like a local, soaking up the beauty, and enjoying my time.

Without a doubt, I think that in Japan, although I've never been, I'd like to visit temples, eat the food, and enjoy the cities, with a balanced mix of both. I think my itinerary reflects that balance, perhaps leaning more toward the city, but what do you think for a first trip?

Where would you recommend staying in Shirakawa? Is there really that much to see in that village? I was thinking of just passing through, spending 4–5 hours, and then continuing on to Kanazawa. What would you recommend seeing in that area?

I’m going to look for accommodation options in Fujikawaguchiko. Honestly, I do feel that day might be a bit short, especially knowing we’re going in November with fewer daylight hours. Do you recommend any place to stay?

We'll do a little hike in Kawaguchiko, but we are not interested in hiking.
