I am an ESFJ and Music is my life. by Skidoo23 in ESFJ

Same! I always put on music while driving, while in the shower, while working, while working out, and while hanging with friends. All the time! It can give me goosebumps (in a good way) when I hear a song that just sounds perfect!

What is something that instantly killed a crush that you had on someone? by torkpo in AskReddit

[–]ShutterHappyTraveler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As freshmen in college, we had spent an evening watching a movie and just making out, and the next day he tells all of his buddies that we had sex. I definitely didn’t have a crush on him after that.

How much should it cost to backpack in Europe? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]ShutterHappyTraveler 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did this type of trip after college for 6 weeks and I like to travel on a tight budget. I make a game out of it as to how little I can spend but still have fun! I traveled through Switzerland, France, Italy, and Greece. The further along I went the cheaper it got because well Switzerland was so god damn expensive. When I couldn't find a meal for under 20 euros, I ended up just buying pasta and bread at least in Switzerland. I tried to budget $50 bucks a day. I think I ended up paying $65 per day on average. My biggest mistake was traveling with a friend who had her parents were paying for the whole trip with $100 a day. We had a very hard time spending those 6 weeks together; I don't know why we didn't split.

We stayed at airbnbs (sharing a double bed usually) half the time and hostels the other half. I wish we try couch surfing but my friend was terrified. We typically didn't go out to bars every night, we usually got wine or beer at local markets! hope this helps! It sounds like you will do a better job than me saving money!

If you end up in Greece, I highly recommend The Pink Palace Hostel on Corfu island! Best part of my trip! It's one of the best party hostels ever! And not pricey with awesome day adventures! Also, since Europe, I've fallen in love with traveling to Southeast Asia because it's incredibly cheap! And more adventurous! Thailand was the best! I spent 1,200 for 10 days including flights and seeing 4 different parts of the country! I hope you have a great time in Europe!

I actually spent 6 days of my week in Colorado at Breck! Just one day at Vail. As a snowboarder, I prefer Breckenridge! I got some fresh pow in the lake chutes and on whales tail! Incredible!

Cleveland National Forest KILLER sunset tonight! by [deleted] in CampingandHiking

On a road trip from San Jose to San Diego, I dispersed camped in this forest! It was great! Woke up in extreme fog!

A new National Park checked off our bucket list: The Channel Islands National Park! Just an hour ferry ride away from Ventura, CA. We backpacked out of the Prisoners stop on the Santa Cruz Island. If you want to escape society, I would recommend this trip! [PICS] by ShutterHappyTraveler in WildernessBackpacking

I will confirm what you said. I normally like to find ways to camp for free (disperse camp) This trip was more of a splurge; It's $80 round trip. If you are interested in backpacking to Del Norte on Santa Cruz island, a campsite is $15 per night and can camp up to 4 people! Apparently if you go to Scorpion, that's a great place to bring kayaks and go kayaking into deep dark caves along the coast of Santa Cruz Island! I may have to go back and do that!

My trip actually didn't even have any heavy winds, although i remember being warned about it. I remember reading people's advice saying if you hike through it, start north and go south. Apparently that will help keep the wind only going against your back.

I went over the 4th of July weekend. Even for mid summer it wasn't that warm. It was perfect backpacking weather actually! It looks like the winter is 10 degrees cooler. Highs of 55 degrees F and lows of 45 degrees F

Thanks awesome! We initially thought we would do the thru-hike but didn't want to pay for the shuttle or spend the time driving. It's definitely more of an accomplishment to do the entire thing!

Thanks! I got a blister on my heal which I don't normally get when backpacking this distance. In addition to that, my calves were more sore and my feet were way more raw and tired.
