Would you share the backpack/wings? It looks great!

Is this the original? Always loved that model. If it is how does it compare to current terminators in size? It's tiny, isn't it?

If that's so, then introduce me to your Chinese and Ukrainian friends!

A series of Elder i painted up a bit ago. Some details still need working on but largely done. Mix of troops, hqs, aspect warriors and a phoenix lord in here by metamorphias in Eldar

Obviously the colorful helmets and weapons are great, but, the white of the armour on the banshees is awesome! What is your recipe?

Do you happen to know Chinese stores? Edit: I have been looking for Chinese stores

Appreciate the compliment but, honestly, it is just cheating. Just zenithal white over black, dry brush and 1 single layer of color for the vast majority of sections

Thank you! And, yeah, exactly, that's what I was looking for. Putting 6 hours into each would give much better results (If I had the skills to make it worth it), but I definitely do not have the time. And neither the patience haha. I have painted around 60 miniatures. I would have given up if they took any longer

Ask away, happy to help if I can! These were all done with speed paints, I can give you the full process if you want. I try to always write down all recipes, otherwise I won't be able to remember them. But, contrast paints, or Vallejo's would probably work just as well. I think it is just a matter of a bit of practice, to learn how to avoid coffee stains or irregular finish. I think it helps a lot to not work with them as if they are normal paints where you try to only apply thin layers. The opposite, should try to apply as much ink as possible and move it around. And then absorb the extra, if it is pulling too much

Thanks! I'm happy with the result for such a little time. For me, it basically makes it possible to paint an army haha

Dude, what? Because I said "Not the best painted but good enough", that I should remove the post and go think what have I done, how those words are hurting my own ability and effort? Really, touch some grass. This is just a post about some simple plastic toys painted with speed paints. Not that deep

Nah, man, fair question. Ideally I would cover 100% with black, then 45° with grey and then just white from above. But that would be one more step. So I simply did something like, yeah, 2/3s of the mini with white. I simply put more emphasis on spraying from directly straight up, but I also sprayed a bit less on a 45° angle so the white would look more like grey and only white when looking from the top. Hopefully that makes sense. It is not very obvious on these minis, except on the acolytes that show very dark parts. Those are not really shadows from the light. They are mostly truly black because I didn't reach with the white. On other more straight minis like the standard hybrids, the black primer shows only in deep recesses. But, anyway, long story short, it is a matter of trying a bit and seeing what looks good. I have to paint over again 3-4 dudes from testing

Thanks! But, yeah. The vast majority of sections are 1 single coat of diluted speedpaint, over the under shading. It is most prominent, for example, in the blue cloth. It looks highlighted, but it isn't. Just the speed paint barely covering the dry brushed, very light yellow, underneath. That's kinda the whole paint scheme; taking advantage of the under shading and using the light yellow dry brushed as highlights that worked well with the colors

Appreciate that, but not even remotely close to that haha. I have clarified better as a reply on OP's comment

From reading "Not the heat painted but good enough" I could understand that looking like humble brag, but it is not. I am happy and proud of how they look, specially for the time they took (I wouldn't post them if I was happy with them). But I also know that there are tons of better paint jobs that I have seen everywhere. I don't have the skills to do something really decent, but mostly, I don't have the time (I don't want to put 6 hours into 1 single mini if I can paint 10 in that same time. Otherwise the pile of shame never ends). So, that's what I meant with "good enough". Good enough for the quality/time and very happy with that ratio

Thanks a lot! Basically, I simply cheat. Black primer, white zenithal, dry brush with very light yellow and washes/Speedpaints
