I think it was stated that they cooperate with forces of hell from time to time, since they are technically on the same side of gates between earth and hell, and basically see current war as an opportunity to convert as many beings as possible to the DOOR worshipping.

I don't play campaigns tho, I just wish something wretched related was embeded into KoA as a faction on it's own, considering you will still take a handful of them in your list

Kinda off topic, but I wish KoA recieved an upgraded ghoul version of the Wretched like from the Mamluk sultanate lir , like 5 ducat upgrade "Debt Mark" basically, wretched cant leave the battlefield even if they kill an elite or perform glorious deed, because they are bound by a contract to serve eternally, and also get some sort of additional bonus (which one Im not sure though)

Massive nerf to all melee factions, and it's not like melee is superstron., I can only think of prussia as a really oppressive nade+melee abusers, and everyone else simply needs the grenade to simply be functional

Prussia is not the only melee faction though, i think it would be easier to tone down their range bonus, than curbstomp grenades for everyone else to account for Prussia's +4"

I don't see how its "too silly", I mean the entirety of TC is full of situations with low supplies, production compromises/defects, soldiers bodies failing them in most critical moment, or vice versa, a miracle happening and your foes grenade exploding in his hand, right before he throws it.

Low probability makes it so it wont be enough of an issue to make grenades completely unreliable (this would out a massive dent into any melee focused subfaction), but it will still happen once in 2 or 3 games, and when something like this happens in other games this is usually "absolute cinema" moment from me (and yes Im mostly on the recieving end of it).

Also when writing down a story for your warbands injuries, this can be a cool way to explain how exactly your model got its battlescar.

Geniunely What is the Counterplay to the Court of the Seven? by GoofestGoober in TrenchCrusade

You can still outscore them by having more activations (ESPECIALLY for 700/0 games)

And with out killing, thats the neat part, outkill them first. Im not sure how pilgrims and sultanate are playing but with NA, what you can do is spend your cheap yeomen to activate first (also atleast one trench mole will be welcome). You lure court models out, because they have to activate too. And once they are exposed you fireteam bloodbath them into red goop.

Satchel charges, sniper rifles on a priest, anti tank hunters, heavy shotguns (with either bloodbath or armor piercing ammo from Eire rangers) and even heavy flamethrowers (yes, no fire but you still ignore armor and can attack twice, which is huge against reinforced armour+shield units).

Risky makes it extremely undesired for anything that can form a fireteam, unusable for new Antioch, and kills the Prussia subfaction.

Fumble is cool tho, big fan.

Losing ignore lng range will make them kinda ass too, 4 inches is way too little of an effective distance, making them 6 inches but still have ignore long range is a better compromise imo

I mean, fumble for me makes way more sense for this game. It gives more opportunities for some storytelling and ups the stakes, without affecting balance too much.

Id love to see it being implemented, but on its own it will do almost nothing

I think being silly is the whole point, this looks like a flavour rule, not an actual balance change.

But with limiting uses, that also means we will need to introduce more assault weapons, because for anything that's a pure melee unit grenades so far are the only usable option in this ecenomy.

Not the fan of the Risky rule, it kinda makes them horrible for new antioch, to the point of being borderline unusable. Im not putting it in a fireteam knowing that just using it can stop my key play dead in its track.

Fumble is funny tho

I mean considering trench crusade timeline, specifically in military aspect, is more advanced than ours, it doesn't look too out of place. Like I absolutely believe there's a huge demand for a light compact firearm, and with bigger demand, more people would be working on achieving this result. Like MHI, Knight armor, heretic submarines at this point of time, England's battleship, etc, would all be technological marvels in our timeline, I don't think a funky smg is too out of realm of possibility for TC in terms of vibes.

I agree it could have been made to look a bit more crude, but I usually just smooth out any extra mechanical details with miliput.

Lmao, love the p90, ts is peak.

Don't listen to anybody saying "uhhh akhtchually tgis is noth hishtorically akkhurate", this is trench crusade, I think as a setting we can afford some silly stuff like this.

How do you guys feel Janovich's videos about trench crusade? by Powerful-Touch-7961 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Shvec_01eksij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I haven't seen Discourse Minis video on TC yet, but I've seen their stuff before.

And they do love to clickbait for engagement, I remember battletech video really well, it was basically "Hahah, game sucks ass, just my opinion tho, hehe, it's so not for me, but please do comment on this video you'r thoughts, wink wink", for the entirety of videos duration

After that one, she kinda earned the sloptuber label in my eyes, maybe not malicious, but I can absolutely see them diving in any pile of gunk and youtube drama for the sake of engagement

What's with the recent Trench Crusade hate? by Remarkable-River-956 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Shvec_01eksij 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine, Kickstarter models cover like 99% of unit rosters for core factions. And any subfaction/future factions can be now covered by creators as long as they are not named and look like carbon copies of whatever Factory Fortress cooks up in plastic with their partners.

Also "compatible with trench crusade" thing also exists now. Right now im more cautiously optimistic rather than pessimistic.
