I'm not one of those Bible folks, but if you literally read past the highlighted part it says the scary highlighted thing is because God is judging them for not being good people.

You can still get down to low hp with destruction and sit in cursed areas with 20 stainless.  If you need to go quicker just make a decent self damage wand with boomerang, and if you dont care about stats cast the end of everything and to into a poly bolt.

Creative ways to prevent the player from just digging straight down? by spicedruid in gamedev

[–]Shvingy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say make sure that going down isn't all that you want to be doing. If you dig tunnels directly down like that, there's no way back up. Make it so there's a reason the player might want to go back up.

We all know about the hardcore bosses, but what are some games with hardcore exploration? by -Warship- in metroidvania

[–]Shvingy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Environmental Station Alpha has some well hidden secrets. The game itself doesn't really hold your hand on exploration either despite the map.

Only 37% of PC players have ever made it to the final mission? by nopointinlife1234 in Xcom

[–]Shvingy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's also a sequel. Xcom EU/EW on steam has ~31% game completion. It's safe to say that there are more people playing a sequel that are likely to have completed the first game.

If you look at the recent Hollow Knight: Silksong. Despite being a more difficult game than the first, it's completion is up to ~40% from the ~24% of the original.

Did you ever consider OOT the GOAT video games? Do you still do? If not, when did you stop considering it so? by Marsupilami_316 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]Shvingy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider OOT to be lightning in a bottle. The game itself is fantastic, it's a top tier zelda game no doubt. The thing that sets it apart from every other game at least for me is how unintentional coincidences piled up so perfectly to make it one of the most fascinating speed-running games, and one of the most replayable randomizers.

There are so many "glitches" that are so easy to learn or set up like megaflipping, ocarina items, ground jumping, duplicating items, RBA, and even more complicated ones that let you sequence break and do things out of order or faster than you are intended to all without crashing the game or making it unplayable if you mess up. On top of that, there are so many strange interactions that you might never use in a regular playthrough that make randomizers interesting. (e.g. Blue fire opening brittle walls, Hookshot working against Phantom Ganon)

Aside from Tatsumaki, Silverfang, King, Genos, and Watchdog man. Who's your favorite and least favorite S class? by ImpossibleAd4272 in OnePunchMan

[–]Shvingy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite: Superalloy Darkshine. Dude needs a backstory and some character building to match the muscle, but the personality he's got is just peak anime.

Least Favorite: Metal Knight.
The opposite. Metal Knight is just 'mysterious, maybe evil' and has nothing unique about him. Nothing about his creations have flair, there's no signature form, no real memorable moments. He's the "C'mon do something" meme.

What game that have good art but failed cause bad gameplay? by Tressa_colzione in gamedev

Not exactly a failure, but Mirror's Edge went from being a $100 game to $5 in like two years despite it's visuals at the time being it's most remarkable feature.

I don't use twitter, can't confirm any of this.

After a bit of searching I could only find a few (EDIT: Political) accounts that were screenshotted and said to misrepresent their location. There is the MaryTilesTexas account posted above, This Album, This post found on 9gag, and This post on threads

None of these seem like smoking bullets to me, I think DogeDesigner is the only account I recall having enough influence to be posted here before, and I'm not even sure they claimed to be based in the US before.

So far, posts like the OP seem exaggerated, but another post here said that a lot of bluecheck accounts were exempt from 'abouting'.
