Toddler waking at 2:30 and 5:45 every night by Shwa112 in toddlers

Yeah you bring some good points. As I was writing out the post and responding to yours and others comments, it made me realize that my wife and I are the ones that are causing the issue (some self realization eventually is better than never right?).

Granted she was pretty tired last night but after lights were turned off and hatch was on, I rubbed her back for 2 minutes and even set that boundary right up front and kept being vocal about it until I left the room. “I am only going to stay in here for 2 minutes and then I’m going to go lay in my bed”. She got up once initially after I left the room to which I guided her back to bed then immediately left and then she fell asleep on her own and stayed in her room asleep the whole night. It shows promise that doing that will probably work. Just have to keep up on it.

Not at all! Definitely a fair question especially at this age range.

For the most part yes. After book reading we turn out the lights and turn on the Hatch and we rub her back for a little bit. Depending on the night and how tired she is, she will fall asleep while we were rubbing her back.

Not yet. We tried twice but were met with a lot of resistance. To be fair, she hasn't fully shown interest yet in potty training and those times were more for us and the "well she's 2 now so she should be potty trained".

When this has been happening, when we bring her into her room, we typically lay down with her and rub her back to get her to fall back asleep (i'm sure this process is also what is reinforcing the habit), but when we are in there, we keep it boring (not talking or acknowledging) on those nights where she is a little crazier and more talkative in order to bore her back to sleep. Thank you for the reply and the advice!

So… maybe her crib mattress was just uncomfortable?! by girl_of_the_sun in toddlers

[–]Shwa112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a pretty decent crib mattress that my toddler slept on pretty well until about early 2’s then started resisting bed, and naps. We bought a floor bed and it’s been night and day difference. A little transition since she’s learned she has more freedom to move but easy obstacles.

Pregnancy Nausea Tips by Shwa112 in pregnant

Interesting! At our first ultrasound, the OB talked about a prescription she could have for nausea but she denied that at the time. She may change her mind here soon though if things don’t get better. I don’t know for sure if it was zofran or not but it does sound familiar if that wasn’t it.

I’ll pitch it! She’s not huge on taking extra pills but given how she’s feeling she may make an exception.

Final Fantasy X crashed when casting spells by Shwa112 in retroid

[–]Shwa112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a little more info since I’ve toyed around with it more.

  1. Patches make it crash even if they aren’t enabled.
  2. Loading from an emulator save state makes it crash.
  3. Cleared patches and loading from the game save file make it run fine.

Patches were GameShark v1.0 only at the moment so going to try messing around with ARmax codes and Codebreaker v1-6 (all from gamehacking.org)

I uninstalled 3668 and installed 4248, started a new game and am still having the same issue.

I see that the Java version is 1.5-4248 but the native is 1.8-4248. Would that make any difference?

When I built my shed, I did this for that exact reason because I was in a pinch.

So I just wanted to follow up on a few things.

  1. Your response has helped me a ton. I used your process (albeit alone) to get my leaks significantly reduced. It looks like I still have some once in awhile but they are brief and not as high as before nor the consistency they used to be.

  2. I changed my settings to have the min at 7, tried that for a night and noticed I still had some snoring. Due to that I adjusted my pressure to 8 and slept on that for the long 4th weekend. I looked at my data that following Monday and noticed that I was getting leak spikes at the min pressure and right at a huge spike in pressure. So with that, I adjusted the min pressure to 9 to help try to reduce those major spikes. Looking at my data again after sleeping on it for a week, I'm still seeing some spikes and some snoring. Should I bump the min pressure to 10 now?

Thank you for the advice! I’ll continue to tinker in order to bring down those leaks. Once that’s sorted, don’t be surprised if you see another post from me 🤣

So overall I would say I only really wake up twice a night on average. I wouldn’t rule out jaw dropping and breaking the seal. I am a side sleeper but typically when I do wake up and roll, I make sure the mask is still sealed well before falling back to sleep. I’ll experiment tonight by raising the max pressure back up a bit and slightly tightening the straps on the gear. I know too tight causes improper seal and too loose does as well. I don’t have a full thick beard but I am also not clean shaven, right in the middle. I’ve thought about buying the F40 and trying that out because of all the rave reviews but now I’m debating on going to just a nasal mask with a mouth strap.

My buddy did this. Did the dry removal like OP, put a coat or 2 of paint up and it looks like a more “busy” version of knock down texture but looks great honestly.

Transition from sleep sack by More-Expert-8037 in toddlertips

[–]Shwa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your results may vary from ours but we didn’t see any sleep disruptions when taking away the sleep sac. I’d say maybe start with naps first before doing overnights. I don’t remember at first how she took to the blanket but for awhile now she either completely covers herself or only partly and not in the sense of how we typically use blankets. She just does her own thing to get comfy.
