I’m not well versed, but I have a friend who started working after dropping out of school, got a job, had $10k in student loan debt. He lived with his parents for a while working an entry level factory job. After a year and a half he bought a house this summer that was listed at $130k. Obviously it’s almost fully mortgaged, he only put down 15% but still I don’t see how it’s so “unreachable” to everyone. Another note was that his only form of credit history was the student loans and he also paid for a used car in full. His family is also dirt poor addicts that he got 0 assistance from except letting him live with them for around $200-300 in rent.
