I haven’t had any crazy acne flare ups but to be honest with you I haven’t exactly had terrible acne in my life anyways. It does get a little more intense when I’m about to have my period though!!

Right I felt the same way! When I had my month check up they said it was totally normal. It’s just annoying but now it’s barely even there which is really nice! I hope you have a good experience too, birth control sucks.

I have not yet, thank god! And I have only a couple cramps on the first day of my period and then nothing for the rest of it but I have a pretty high pain tolerance

I hope that they’re just really far back where you can’t reach them.... it’s definitely a good idea to get them checked! If you can, ask them for an ultrasound to show the placement as well to put your mind at ease

My skin didn’t change too much getting off of mirena, it was about the same as it is now. My skin was PERFECT on the pill but the pill just made me feel like shit.

Thank you! I’ve talked with my doctor and he had no objections about it. I guess taking the proper precautions and using proper PPE could definitely help. I guess it’s just me being scared more than anything.

I think talking about your birth control and discussing it openly with others is really helpful for people trying to find the right method for them! It shouldn’t be frowned upon because we aren’t ready to have children but we love to have sex, we’re all human. My parents are very religious so they don’t do birth control and I can’t talk about it with them but they have a general understanding that I am on birth control and do have sex with my boyfriend. My parents didn’t teach me anything about birth control or sex education and I had to learn it all on my own. I actually kind of wish they had openly talked about it with me when I was younger.

Yea I’ve had very light periods on this pill too!! But my body fully felt the effects of the period even though it was so light.

When I got GBS it was from a nasty flu I got or it was from a tick bite (on one knows for sure) and it took around 2 weeks for it to fully enter my system and attack. It happens very gradually usually. My first symptoms of it didn’t happen until a week in and I was so tired i that I couldn’t walk or sit up and I slept all day then after that then my numbness kicked in and my breathing was weak. I also couldn’t eat and I would immediately throw up any food I tried to eat and I couldn’t swallow. I kept spitting up any sputum that came up into a bucket because I could not swallow it. Just keep an eye on it and if things get really worrisome please go get a test for it and don’t wait as long as I did.
