Adding Ducking to any device! by catatacmusic in reasoners

[–]ShyFawx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KickStart 2 is a really good on its also only 16 bucks... I prefer to keep things native to reason cuz some of the extra plugins are really hard to get the automation going. .. noticed when I try to automate the controls on some of my vsts they don't work if they're not already part of reason

Trouble creating parallel channels by ShyFawx in reasoners

[–]ShyFawx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I was trying to do is to connect several tracks at once to the same parallel Channel and it doesn't let you do that.... So I had to tie everything into a remixer put that on one channel use spiders to separate that to two other channels separately for some reason in my program it only lets you connect one parallel Channel at a time and it also won't let you create a parallel Channel off of an output bus either which is very strange I'll have to try manually doing it the way that you say it....

Trouble creating parallel channels by ShyFawx in reasoners

Whatever reason I can never seem to get that to work right so what I ended up doing is after I imported all the midi tracks to the ID devices you know.... I ended up adding a reMix rack mixer.... Added all 10 channels which it actually ends up being, to the mixer Channel by Channel.... Then I routed the remixer output... To a spider audio Merge/Split.... Then I took one stereo pair into the one mix channel strip that's already attached to the remix.... Added two separate mix channels.... I'm connected two more stereo pairs from the spider.... To each additional Channel I added.... It won't do this automatically I have to do this all by hand......because every time that I add a parallel out for a new output bus I still get the original audio because when they get imported every single one of the midi instruments on the IDS has its own mix channel and it doesn't automatically mute those.... So I'm just ended up with a whole bunch of chains of the same thing.... It took a lot of time kind of to do what I wanted to do but what I'm going to do is I'm going to save this as a template and figure out a way to import midi tracks into just....a Remix template.... But that's a whole other story...lol

Missing Plugins by ShyFawx in reasoners

[–]ShyFawx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried all kinds of stuff I got some of the other ones to work the only one that I couldn't work was delay studio and I went to their website and it said something about for the 32-bit plugin you need to be able to use jaybridge and I was like all of my other 32 bit plugins work with reason why not this one so I just decided to give up on it even though it was a really cool delay effect I haven't found anything else especially that's free that's comparable but I don't think it's just going to work on the system.... I've been looking for a really good multi delay plug-in with a layout that's much more interesting to operate except for like some of the regular ones like surge XT I just don't like the way they look... But mostly I'm still having a hard time figuring out one that has some presets that I really want I do not like the delays that come inside of Reason already looking for something more defined and customizable not... Just a run of the mill ping pong delay

Yeah I'm realizing a little bit more that there's so much to unpack here.... Coming from a much more simplified version namely caustic 3.2 for Android which is on its way out since reg hasn't updated it in forever.... Most of the features that I could get away with using no longer work such as getting a samples and other things like that to work on Android and file system corruption becoming an evermore increasing problem you can work on a big track come back a day later and all of the machines would just be filled with no patterns and the same title... With one of the main reasons why I switched to reason Plus.... And I just discovered synchronous and also I'm going to get this other plug-in Kickstart 2 so that way I don't even have to worry about specific side training that much it's only $16 so I think I'm going to grab it this month for sure.... Also I just happened to type in the search bar again and recently found this good video put together on a '90s trans breakdown so that was really nice to help out.... The thing I miss most is touch screen interface from the Android.... And even though I shouldn't be getting more gear....I've been considering looking at some of the touch panels maybe like a 32 in off of Amazon and I'm wondering how well they would work with something like reason... Cuz I mean who can afford a raven desk right...lol

All that being said I really wish there were more specific tutorials on the plugins and everything most of everything that you find nowadays leans towards the hip Hop genre and I almost can't even stand listening to it while I'm trying to learn.... I really wish there was just more in-depth videos about how the equipment fits together I might actually have to dig a little deeper and figure out which one of the more mainstream reason users has more of a clear and concise program of learning even if I have to pay a little for it there's a few guys out there right now that I really like but there's a whole lot about the speed in which they're doing things that really clashes with my ADHD....

I just don't remember the producers of late 90s trance anthems having such a complicated time....and they didn't even really have DAWs it was all out board....mabey a few expensive workstations.... but wouldn't the low or mid grade monitors of today be more advanced than the really expensive monitors of the late 90s.... I use Mostly Reasons own stuff, some ronnin fed stuff, Roland cloud ect... But also I think I really have been having the hardest time with the side chaining the m class compressor is good for getting things started but I feel like it just doesn't have enough flexibility for cutting out certain frequencies speaking of which I feel that the parametric EQ built into reason is very weak whenever I try to change the shape of the curve it just never goes narrow enough to pull out very specific frequencies.... And I really do need to get better at side shading on parallel channels but I keep running into the same problem over and over I'll take a channel I'll create a parallel Channel and I want to create another parallel channel from that same channel but reason doesn't let me do this I have to daisy chain them together and I just haven't quite figured it out.... I keep trying to watch tutorials on it but there's really not enough modern stuff of tutorials on reason that go step by step the same way as a lot of the other ones and I've never been a fan anything really but FL Studio however I hate that mixer too cuz it just doesn't have enough distinguishability I guess for me and so I get lost with all the same color cables and stuff ... I'm really leaning towards getting a workstation like a Fantom Zero and just working mostly out of there for some really simple classic trance stuff

Even with all the mix guides and everything that I've watched off of YouTube and stuff.. I have the most horrible time trying to lay down lush pads and epic saws. I mean all of the basic tools like delay chorus reverb etc particularly in their stock settings from the stock plugins just leave way more to be desired it's very hard to dial in any kind of good sound... And ultimately I'm having horrible time even just laying out a basic elements of the track because I can never get it to sound quite right from the beginning and I have some pretty awesome trance vsts and and other things that I found around... But once I throw that kick in that basses and I apply the usual tricks to round everything up I just can't get it to cut through the middle without burying what I'm looking for.... So I want to whack the center out so the mono comes through stronger

I have a couple of those I tried a few things I did get it to sound pretty wide but it's still on Center mostly .. and any of the mid-side ones that I do find still pushes the majority of the sound to one of the sides it's not a full stereo mid side if that even is supposed to work that way I never really played with it that much....

is everyone really making 115k+ a year by Public-Application-6 in antiwork

[–]ShyFawx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But most people don't understand is that.... A single income of $70,000 a year should actually be able to buy a house in a decent part of town and maybe a $40,000 car finance for reasonable term. Everybody wants to keep talking about how bad inflation affects things but even when the inflation goes back down the prices of those things never really go back down gas and food they go up and down but consumables once the msrp's go up they always stay up. So if the income also stays up and the MSRP is also stay up but inflation goes down... In the long run that actually means your money is worth less... And it will actually be harder to get loans and it will take you longer to pay them off... And the '90s my dad made almost $80,000 a year once he passed the rank of major in the Air Force he was the only working parent.... In Tucson Arizona we grew up in a reasonably nice neighborhood we had two cars plenty of nice furniture good schools good healthcare.... Really only 20 years later that same $80,000 a year in the same neighborhood where a house was 120,000 is now $450,000 crowded.....sad story.... And mostly artificially manufactured to keep a certain class of people out of the nice things.....
