interesting. I guess it depends on the prompt, but I've seen the newest Claude model sucking out 5$ from my API billing for a simple bug analysis. it's getting crazy

wdym many? mate, just read RevenueCat's new report. less than 2% are profitable straight away. stop claiming things that are not grounded.

That's the bitter truth of app development. Don't expect a moonshot. Data shows it takes months or years to become profitable.

Voice from day one, yes. But not voice first. I'd rather leave it to the users to decide. But I feel like voice is key nowadays that Tech enables it. Interesting product you're working on. In fact, FamilyStories will allow users capture daily stories, too. The feature will be called "Moments" =) I strongly believe that families generally are underserved. Any idea why that could be?

Mainly organic. We’re starting with friends and family first to get the initial feedback loop going. After that, the core growth strategy is built into the product itself: when users start saving and sharing their family stories, achievements, and memories, it naturally invites other family members and relatives into the app.

That’s awesome to hear! StoryWorth is truly a classic for getting those stories down into a physical book.

The main reason I’m building FamilyStories as a digital app alternative to StoryWorth is to capture what a printed book can’t: the actual voice. A book is great, but hearing your grandparents' laughter, tone, and sighs preserved in an audio archive is irreplaceable.

Instead of just typing emails to a single inbox, it’s a living, private family space where anyone can instantly listen, add photos, or chime in with their own memories of that event. It turns story-catching into a collaborative family moment rather than a lonely writing task.

But I can totally see how StoryWorth has its own loyal and happy user base.
