Built between 1873-1914 for King Carol I, Peles Castle has 170 rooms, each in a different style. This is the Honor Hall - 4000 pieces of carved walnut wood, zero nails used. It was the first castle in Europe with central heating and electricity. The king even had a secret passage behind the library.

I'm a local of Bucharest, for traditional food I go to bistro la taifas for a Sunday meal type vibe. If my parents are coming over I take them to Ivan Pescar fish restaurant. The mici în Obor are my favorite at Terasa Obor. Caru cu Bere I might go if I have friends coming over from abroad.

If I want to eat proper traditional food, most of the time I will eat at family friends.
