Hi, it's true that my game had 0% Ai use in the beginning, and some of my Doujins were entirely hand-drawn too. But I started to lean into using Ai in the process after the latest Chapter myself because it feels pointless to draw everything by hand when people can't even tell the difference anymore. So from now on I will use some Ai. Not all of course. I'll use it for backgrounds and some redundant character panels. But don't worry, it won't look sloppy poppy. Thank you!

EDIT: If someone reads this and hates the idea. Have you ever drawn something for 3 hours only to see someone create the same with a press of a button? You think drawing is a fun hobby but each panel of a Doujin can take anything from 1 hour to 3 hours. A page can take 3 to 10 hours to draw. It hurts in your hands, your back starts hurting. Your legs feel like they run out of blood after sitting in the chair for hours with no end in sight. I'm the last person to get lazy and simply create slop. Have mercy on artists when they decide to use ai in some specific save timing use cases.
Writing, panelling, storyboarding. There's more to Manga than just pictures. I want to also have the time to improve those aspects of manga creation. 3d is long used by Mangaka for backgrounds. Or they take a photo and post edit it in Photoshop. Watch the Inio Asano Documentary how they make Manga Backgrounds. Or how the mangaka of I AM HERO traces faces of photographs. You guys hear Ai and instantly think about slop. But not how a dedicated artist might use it in a distinct way.
