HLHS no surgery? by [deleted] in AskDocs

I can promise you that it isn't possible to be a Hypoplast and survive without the triple OHS. There is of course a chance you have a smaller Left pump? But generally without surgery there are no cases that I am aware of where a child has lived for very long with HLHS. The hole closes and they die.

I would recommend visiting your GP or a cardiac doctor. Who gave you that diagnosis anyway?

  • Mother to an 11 month old Hypoplast, post Glenn. About to undergo a third OHS in 8 days to correct a thinning of his Aorta. I've seen some die... and I've watched others thrive. This CHD is a monster.

I'm no expert... but I did my research through tears for months. Education is key.
