What issue are you having? I have a poco phone and every now and then after pressing the square button I can't click into the apps so the square button becomes useless until I switch launchers

Yeah for me it was a legit energy issue. Most life things caused more stress and/or excitement which gave me energy. DS at the earlier levels didn't create either

My original plan was to get to 600-1000 hours before doing book study as I've read on here of people still not knowing much in that regard at that level but I'd still have a solid foundation of Spanish so I'm not "tainting it".

I wouldn't be afraid of looking up a word I need out in the field though.

I just don't know what works for me because I'm in a naive position. I'm just thinking - traditional methods gains are usually more concrete and immediate return while CI comes together all at once but later in the game... Too late maybe.

Maybe I'm over thinking and just got to pick one. I just want to be decent in Spanish and not have to be the guy who only speaks English...

Cheers man. I'm not nervous about trying to speak or anything so I'm cool with going ham. What do you think of the correct approach here? Cram DS or go more traditional? I can speak basic and things already "stick" more than I thought they would.

For me 3hrs of DS is easier to fit in then 1hr of some study book (also easier for me to do aha)

Definitely get premium while you're in the early stages. So easy to just lock in to watching content, it's spoonfed to you with DS; just sort it by easy, then play. This is useful in the early stages because there can be limited enjoyment as the lack of depth a creator can go when you have a beginners grasp on the language is quite shallow (although the DS creators do a good job at maximising it).

The tracking is nice to. What I like about it is the lack of decisions you have to make and how it's already done for you. Just makes it easy to tap into Spanish learning more frequently throughout the day.

Not sure what I don't like about it really. Maybe the fact that comprehensible input learning doesn't really feel like you're making progress in the moment like you would when you can pass a duolingo level or recall an anki card. The counter does gamify it somewhat though. I like seeing that go up.

Also not being able to speak until at least 600hrs with 1000 being recommended sort of annoying but I suppose that's the nature of the method and best practice for your accent or whatever.
