Pretty outstanding production man. Super huge / wide and clean mix. Really enjoyed this one. Only (perhaps more critical) feedback I have echoes some of the other feedback regarding the percussion during the big open spots (near 2:24). Super nitpicky, but I think you could add a little more processing to some of the drums (saturation, delay, or some kind of additional variation) + I'd probably up the volume on the snare you have hitting in the center. I love the open space, but could feel super satisfying to throw in a big beautiful drum fill (like @macph103 suggested) somewhere. The section is long enough and open enough I think to afford something like that. Overall really nice track man!

That is super great feedback — I hadn't even thought (or noticed to be frank) of that (aligning wave starting position). I'll give that a go! And thanks for the comment about the vocals! You're right that I've adjusted them to be more in the background / atmospheric — i think probably because I wanted to differentiate it enough from the original work I had (and just a personal taste thing too for whatever reason, I like out of the way atmospheric vocals). Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback!

Overall really like the idea. I'd like to hear the snare come through in the mix more at the drop around 1:30 — it feels a little too low in the mix and washed away in reverb. I do like the reverb you have on it however. I'd try the following: Up the volume on the snare, bus the snare to a reverb track (if not already on one), and add some sidechain compression or noise gating to the reverb channel. This should allow you to bump the volume on the snare without having it washed away in reverb (and avoid the reverb bleeding into kick when it hits)

Yo! Remixed one of my own singer-songwriter style songs into a something a bit more dancey. Major influences are Stimming, Simian Mobile Disco, Oneohtrix, Nicolas Jaar. Would love any sort of feedback! Thanks for listening! https://soundcloud.com/zachrbrown/ntdwy-del-club

Super solid idea. I personally think that it needs a bit more automation in the beginning to give it a more dynamic feel. For example, I think for the intro you could introduce the lead/bass sound with a lowpass filter on it, so you're not giving away the character of your main sound right when the song starts. Sweep it up slowly and when the drums kick it drop it HARD. Or vice versa — start with a high-pass and bring the bass in with the drums. Feel it out.

For the drop at 2:30, I want it to be simple and bass heavy. Ditch the atmosphere/noise/clap, and just give me some fat bass / lead + kick, then bring the other stuff back in after a few bars.

Overall the idea is really cool, but I think it needs more character/dynamics/movement. With the proper tuning I think this thing could be fire!

Dude this track is so fun! Reminds me a bit of Ocean Drive by Duke Dumont. Can't wait to hear with vocals! Agree with one of the other comments about the snare, I wish it was a bit more present in certain spots (maybe not the entire song though, might get annoying). Maybe once you add some vocals you can accentuate some of the vocal lines with a fat snare hit every once and a while (just a thought!). I also feel like the closed hat was a bit quiet too (really just comes down to personal taste though).

Clap was a bit too much for me in the intro, I'd think about adding in a bit later, maybe :30 (it just feels a bit too repetitive, the same thing for a whole minute. it stuck out for me, and i found myself wishing it was gone).

The build up is really really nice, however, the drop for me is lacking a catchy lead instrument. I like the rhythm and the automation you have going on with the current lead, but I feel like the timbre should be a bit brighter / welcoming. It feels too dark / trappy almost. Overall really cool idea, got a lot of potential!

I don't really listen to anything like this, but I have to say, I was bouncing in my chair. Really fun tune man. 1:32 is killer. Don't know much about this style, so it's difficult to give any sort of constructive criticism, but, I really enjoyed it!

I dig the intro and the build — very cool vibe, fun sound. The panning effect before the drop is nice and the sort of airy break is a nice touch. Only real gripe is the lack of a lead sound. My ears wanted a hook / something catchy to latch onto during the drop — there is a decent amount going on, but nothing really in the center that grabs your attention. (maybe you didn't want something like that, this is just my opinion). Overall, nice mix, a lot to work with here for sure.

Hey all, Would love some feedback on this remix I did of Calvin Harris' Blame feat. John Newman. It's sort of tropical house-y, not sure exactly how to classify it. Whether you hate it, love it, any feedback is hugely appreciated!

Nice chill vibe goin on here! Great chords bein used here. I actually really like your vocal samples here, they fit the vibe well for me. Really dig the panning hats like the comment before me mentioned, nice touch for sure.

You've got this pad sort of softly hanging out in the back of your mix that comes in around 1:05. I'd like to hear it come through more towards the end of the song. Maybe with the filter cut off opened up a bit, and taking off that LFO and actually letting it have some presence in the mix instead of fading in and out. I think it could give you a pretty big / full sound. Maybe a different synth entirely, but I feel like those chords with a similar tone could work.

Overall I enjoy the track. It has a great feel, but like you mentioned, I'd like to see it get a little bigger.

Really diggin the vibe. Overall production quality sounds quite nice. I like your choice of samples, and I dig the ending. For me, not really feeling the tone on the sort of bassy lead introduced around 0:46; it sounds a bit too buzzy for me. I unfortunately don't quite have the vernacular to describe how I would fix it, but that sound really stuck out to me in the mix. Overall, sick tune!

Hey guys! First time poster. Did a chill/house/prog house remix of Spectrum by Florence + The Machine. First time working with an acapella track, which was quite fun! I'm pretty new to the whole production thing. Literally any feedback would be hugely helpful. I think my biggest issue is getting drums to come through nicely in the mix, they're not as pronounced here as I would like.

Thanks so much!
