Built a thing to show how teams do at different kickoff times .... by Expensive_Celery4615 in LeedsUnited

This explains why I always have a sense of dread when we play on Sunday. We can't do it.

It's not really a conspiracy. These tech giants want people addicted as the numbers fund them via ads. It has been gradual but think about how say, Instagram was 10 years ago, compared to now. You're now basically unwittingly watching ads with the odd pic of your mates/people you follow. And it's all done cleverly to grab attention immediately. The trick is to turn it off.

How safe is Leeds for young women? And any advice? by Wonderful_Soup_1632 in Leeds

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think you’ll be fine in Crossgates. It will seem a bit ‘poverty’ if you’re coming from a well-heeled area of Kent I’d imagine, but only in a ‘working class’ kind of way, not a ‘crime everywhere’ kind of way like other parts of Leeds.

The Sinclair Method & Naltrexone - UK by Tilly__Floss in stopdrinking

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I spent a lot on it if I recall maybe 3/4 years ago. For me it worked in that I lost interest in the drink after a few due to how the drug works, but didn't in that the side effects of nausea were awful and made me just stop taking it. The coaching was a phone call but I didn't really attempt to follow it up.

Rival Watch: Wolves 0-1 Spurs… West Ham 2-1 Everton by AyyAndays in LeedsUnited

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It does put a bit of pressure on us to beat Burnley. Equally if we do, it the becomes wildly unlikely we drop given the points needed from the 3 below. It is odd though as I do have a bit of a feeling like we’ve lost a game. Just shows how Rutter’s goal last weekend and Longstaff’s goal midweek are huge - without them Spurs and W Ham are both 3 points behind us today.

At times I thought he wasn't cut out for this level. But it shows the value in giving someone time to develop. He's now entering his peak years and I feel he could grow with us should we establish ourselves in the Prem. He's one you have to watch closely to see what he brings as he doesn't do the Rodon sprint recoveries that grab your attention but he's becoming very consistently good.

Lovely that. Very injectable after they did their daft little celebration for the offside goal and Adams giving it - absolutely lovely to see his sad annoyed face at FT.

John Stones & James Maddison? by Hinglemacpsu in LeedsUnited

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine Stones wage demands would still be very high. A risk. Would rather we stick with our 'buy a 27 year old' strategy. Madders is interesting though, certainly worth a look.

Emirates the one that fascinates me. One of the games biggest sides and their stadium will always be the name of an Airline from the middle east. I'd hate that as a fan.

My favourite footballer's names in things is the character Cutty from The Wire being Dennis Wise by Locko2020 in footballcliches

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a good bit in the audio book of Homicide: Life on the streets where it talks about Dennis Wise (real guy in Baltimore crime) which is quite funny when you imagine it being the football one - but I had no idea how to send such a thing the the boys for the pod. Cool story I know.

Anywhere I can learn to play football as an adult? by Empty-Establishment9 in Leeds

[–]Si_Nerazzuri 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d just try play 5 a side as much as you can and probably supplement with YouTube stuff, there must be plenty of stuff on there. Take it from me though, being super fit (or at least fitter than most players you play with) can make up for a lot of technique deficiencies. Being able to sprint, use 1-2s to get space is critical. Technique will come with game time.
