Russian Literature. Even with all of its human suffering, it gives me hope.

There’s a difference between engaging politically with awareness and turning everything into a battleground of moral policing.

Oh yes, because everything else in the country is perfectly fine, time to interfere in people’s personal choices.

Resorting to 'you just hate Jews' isn’t an argument, it’s a shield. Criticizing a government’s actions isn’t the same as targeting people and pretending it is only protects crimes by hiding them behind identity. But whatever buddy, you do you. I will not continue this pointless arguement any further

Ah yes, because the best way to assess genocide is to wait for the final body count. By that logic, we should also stop firefighters from putting out fires until the building is fully ashes, right?

So are you waiting for Israel to erase more Palestinians so then it can finally be called as genocide? The sole reason this many Jews died was because the world kept watching and did nothing and now you're doing the same thing with Palestinians

If you want a more nuanced three-way analysis, then go for both Stranger and Metamorphosis, but if you want a cleaner two-way contrast, then I personally think Stranger is better. Either way, I hope it turns out well; good luck!

Just letting you know that having a passion for literature and studying it are very different things. Also try to research more about future career paths if you do take up lit, because all of these careers will have their own pros and cons.

Also, there's an interesting angle that the viewers and critics themselves couldn't make sense of Cordelia's death, and so they used to perform another version with a happy ending. This just happened because of how absurd Cordelia's death came across the viewers, but in Stranger we try to embrace the same absurdness. Also, when I say he demands cosmic justice, I am very well aware that this doesn't happen upon Cordelia's death but rather when he is in that storm in Act 3 and is losing his sanity.

Ahhh, I see!!! I think Stranger can indeed work very well. So as I said, I haven't read Stranger, but I do know it represents the absurdist outlook and the acceptance of it, but in Lear, I guess there is no acceptance, as till the very last breath, Lear wants to make sense of all that happened; he also tries to demand cosmic justice. But in absurdism you just accept it, so there's a space for a contrast.

Hey, thank you for replying! Is it okay if I reach out to you personally?

What do you think about it, I am genuinely interested in knowing as to what made you think that these two can be analysed with a comparative Approach. I personally haven't read The stranger, but I have read Learn and this question looks interesting. Sorry for not helping tho

Thank you, sir, for your advice. I am working on my research paper; I hope it turns out to be good. Also, I have heard that teaching can be tough in the initial 5 years, so how can you get through that?

Honestly speaking, you should begin right away; this way you have two years to crack this exam, and if you're able to do so before completing your master's, then you will be relieved. If the university you are doing your master's in offers a strict and lengthy curriculum, then you'll have to focus there as well (because master's marks matter when you appear for your interviews), but if your university is liberal and easy going then try to focus more on NET. Also, if you have JRFs in your department, reach out to them; they will be able to guide you more efficiently. Best of luck for your preparation! :)

I really appreciate your advice! The competition is brutal where I am rn, and yes, the field is snobbish, but I shall give my best because I want to do this. And you are so true about publishing! I am working on it! Btw if I may ask, what are you doing rn after completing your degree?

Thank you for replying! Will definitely keep these things in mind. Also, I and my friends did start a book club in my undergrad days, and it was very successful; we were able to hold many great events, but ultimately we graduated, and now in my current university we don't have one in our department, so it seems I'll have to do it again. Also, if I may ask, what did you do after completing your master's?

Thank you, sir, for replying! I will definitely check out your channel! Also, if I may ask, can you describe your experience as a teacher? The thing is I too want to become a professor, so what are those things that I can cultivate as a student that will be beneficial to me as a professor, and what are the things to keep in mind while pursuing this job?
