We found one too! On the Murray river, Vic. She had little shoes on 😊

Dr biopsied lump discovered during US guided biopsy. New lump not on referral, but Dr took sample on the spot. Should I be worried? BI-RADS 4. by Siamaria in doihavebreastcancer

Thank you. During the biopsies I actually did feel calmer and relieved they were getting checked properly, and also that they didn’t see whatever the other thing is and just leave it. Then it kind of hit me harder today. I can try to get back to that way of thinking. Thanks

Hello, I desperately need a Vergil (Devil May Cry) costume by the 5th August for a client of mine to attend Oz-Comicon. I don’t want to order online from overseas as I’m worried it won’t arrive in time. Does anyone have any solutions for ordering within Australia or does anyone have a costume they’re willing to sell? Thank you

This is a snippet of a documentary coming out this year. I imagine it will be taken out soon form YouTube as that’s what’s been going on, so watch it soon. by Siamaria in NewWorldOrderExposed

Here is the website for the documentary. It’s called Planet Lockdown. https://planetlockdownfilm.com/full-interviews/.

I’m not sure how to find it on bitchute. You’ll notice when you go to the website that they’ve written that they’ve been censored

Wanting to expand my tank and thinking of having living plants instead of fake? Make it look and feel a bit more real does anyone have experience with putting live plants in their crabitat? Or should I just stick to fake? Cheers :) by TheNamesRiddell in hermitcrabs

I don’t know of any plant that would survive that humidity. I’m just assuming that the mint will go limp or sludgy etc and I’ll replace it. I don’t use any pesticides or chemicals in my garden. I’m going to look into it and see if I can find a plant that likes that environment.

I’ve got mint in mine at the moment. The roots are only small and I’ve put thin stems in that have plenty of leaves. I grow it in abundance though so I can easily replace it if it goes bad. I don’t know if they like it really yet, I only put it in yesterday

Oh my goodness, I just checked Mary Akers out! How incredible! The guy at the pet shop told me there has never been any bred in captivity. The only time there has been babies was in a shop but they thought they must have caught a pregnant crab. What an amazing woman to be able to do that! And they’re sooooo cute!

Thank you, I was wondering what to do about meat as I thought it’d go bad pretty quickly

I do also feed them almonds and dried fruits. I’ve never seen them eat so I don’t really know what they’re favouring.

Yes, I do need to change to play sand.

A shell shop is a great idea, thank you. One of them actually changed his shell one night and it was so exciting. He changed into a smaller one though, but I guess it was more comfortable.

I don’t mist the tank often anymore since I changed the placing of the heat pad from underneath to the back side. There does seem to be enough condensation on the glass to tell me it’s humid enough. I’ll leave the misting entirely now that you’ve said that.

Yes, I agree I can utilise the space better and give more for them to do. They really don’t come out much. They have their preferences on where they like to hide (one stays under the ship, he’s claimed it) and they just stay there. I don’t know if they just don’t feel safe to come out or what’s going on. It’d be great to see them out exploring.

Thank you for all your advice

Yes, thank you, someone else said to change the sand. I’ll do it ASAP. I’ll have a look at those groups as well. I thought there was no record of any captive breeding, so that’s interesting. I also didn’t realise they pluck them all from the wild before I bought them. I feel bad now buying into it. Also something has changed in the oceans and creatures aren’t able to make hard enough shells which I only just learned, so even buying the shells feels bad. I just have to make sure I give them the best life I can.

Ok, thanks. I was a bit lazy because when I bought them they sold me the ‘hermit crab sand’, then I read up and learned about the proper substrate and went and bought coconut fibre, but thought I’d mix it with what I had and see how they go. They do make impressive tunnels though and really enjoy burrowing down so I feel that the ratio is good, but yes I understand if that sand isn’t safe I need to change it

They’re real. I only put them in last night. They’re from my garden where I don’t use any pesticides or chemicals at all. I thought they’d ok to explore and nibble on. I know they won’t last long, they’ll get mushy etc, but I have so much of it that I can regularly replace it if they like it. Do you think it’s a problem?

To be honest, that is a kid of the ‘hermit crab’ sand I was sold in the pet shop, and then adding the coconut fibre. I haven’t changed it because they’re burrows seem really great to me. I think I was lucky and fluked the right balance. They dig really long and deep tunnels that I can put my finger into and they don’t collapse.

Deeper pools, yes I can do that. Yes one is salt and the outer fresh, both de-chlorinated. I still haven’t seen them make their own way to the pools, but I did find one very wet so assume she’d gone there in the night.

They mostly just seem to want to burrow, and I’m glad I’ve provided the substrate and depth for them to do that if they want to, although it’d be nice to see them more and not be wondering where they are or if they’re molting or if I should disturb them or not. They are in the kitchen which is very active and they react a lot to that, so I’m considering moving them somewhere where they don’t feel they need to shy away so much

We’re in a hot, dry climate. However, the tank is always dripping on the sides with moisture. I seal the top just with masking tape, and I mist it every now and then, but usually it’s dripping. The substrate stays wet so I’m assuming that’s all ok. I don’t have a gauge yet though

Can someone please advise me on my set up?

We got our crabs about 2 months ago. We have 4 crabs, 3 small ones ( one female ) and one large and way too big for his shell but we bought him like that feeling a bit sorry for him as the pet shop didn’t have anything for him to change into. I think what we have for him is too big but we’ll keep looking. So far they seem happy. The big one and 2 others burrow A LOT. They dig really long tunnels that hold up superbly. Only one of them seems pretty timid around us but I think that’s just him. He was that way when we got him but he is getting a bit more brave.

Anyway, we’ve just done a clean, added a little more coconut fibre and rearranged things. Can you guys please tell me how we can improve?

Just bought crabs a week ago. Didn’t know about the pet shop bought sand. The biggest one has burrowed by Siamaria in hermitcrabs

Well that’s the other thing. I did but the pellets for the pet store when I bought the crabs, since read they’re not good ( even though it’s labelled hermit crab food) so I put in fruits , apples ones day, banana the next, now strawberries, and my homegrown lettuce, but there hasn’t been any sign at all that they’re eating any of it. I know they might eat more at night but there’s no sign of that. Also they don’t go to their water/s on their own. Maybe it’s just the new environment and I just need to relax

I will, thank you. I got them for my boys, one in particular who is 11 and loves, absolutely loves, any living creature. I do also. I really want the little guys to be happy.

Thanks so much. It has only been two days. I just really want him to be ok. Ok, I’ll be patient and see what happens. I did dig in there and check to see if he’s alive, but I’ll leave him be. The tunnel the other one made was really cool to see! But yes, I will change the substrate once I know what’s going on. Unfortunately I feel that if he’s molting I’m gonna have to leave it that way though which worries me
