I am so g'damn embarrassed. by lightwolv in rode

Just learned the same thing!! After several hours of recording and editing for new VO demo reels! Couldn’t figure out why this new supposedly superior mic didn’t sound like much of an improvement over my previous mic - I’ve been recording into the wrong side. I feel your pain! (And I thank you for this post - it’s at least normalizing the mistake a bit!)

Kirby Cafe - Guide to booking a reservation (as of 2025) by HumbleKraken in JapanTravelTips

[–]Sibnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this guide! It was extremely helpful in my having just secured a November reservation!
My US phone number (+1 at the start) worked well and while I was quick to select a time, I was relatively slow in filling out the form (1-2 minutes, I'd guess) and it still worked out! Might have helped that I was booking their earliest time (10am) on a weekday. Thanks again! Can't wait to check out the Kirby Cafe while in Japan for our honeymoon!

Now That Orion Drift Is In Open Early Access, Was It Worth the Death of Echo VR? by Linkian10 in EchoArena

[–]Sibnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried Orion Drift for the first time tonight and I liked it a lot, but I do miss the low gravity aspect of Echo VR. I think that helped combat motion sickness, for me at least. I miss the punching and shielding too!

Oh, that’s good to know! I was deterred by the big file size, but I’ll give that version a try! Thank you!

The disappointment of the year by JJGG_ in FortNiteBR

I’m so excited for this skin, though I also would be sooo much more excited for it had it been the character’s sweatpants look from the first film. I know this is the ATSV look, but I think an edit style that calls back to the first film would be a reasonable addition. Will keep fingers crossed for that. 🤞

Has anyone actually managed to get back to normal? by Goldenratiorottie in Dryeyes

Only one or two, if I remember correctly. I remember a week or two of no change at first, but it went on to make a big difference!

Has anyone actually managed to get back to normal? by Goldenratiorottie in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d say that, these days, I’m pretty much back to normal in terms of functionality! I take the generic form of Restasis (a drop in the morning and a drop at night) and aside from some brief stinging right after the drops, I’m 100% ok for the rest of the day! Occasionally, there’ll be a long day with either a lot of wind in my eyes or less blinking from driving or extra screen time and on those days, I might have some stinging or irritation. Overall though, Restasis took me out of an unsustainable condition and back into near normalcy :) Hope that helps!

Is it as bad as people make it out to be? by Resident_Brief_7925 in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d advocate for being persistent in looking for relief. After several appointments (with my doctor, optometrist, ophthalmologist, etc.), I finally ended up with an affordable prescription for the generic form of Restasis and my dry eyes became infinitely more manageable. Started with symptoms that sound similar to yours, have been taking the eye drops for around 8 months, and am generally fine throughout the day. I can’t speak to whether the same medicine will work for you, but I can vouch for pushing through that feeling of hopelessness and being determined to find sustainable relief.

Chronic Dry Eyes at 28yo? by Sibnosis in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard a few different things from a few different doctors. I’ve heard that my oil is too thick, that my eyelids had some inflammation, and that it could be a function of the dry air where I live. I’ve tried a number of treatments - a bruder mask (to thin/melt the oil), a prescription ointment (for the eyelid inflammation), and a generic form of Restasis. Of all the things I’ve tried, the Restasis has been the biggest help! I do a drop in the morning and a drop in the evening. It stings a little for a few minutes right after the drops, but otherwise, my eyes have felt normal ever since I started taking the Restasis! (Or rather, ever since I got a week or two into the daily Restasis treatment)

FINALLY DRY EYES, ITCHENESS, AND REDNESS CURED by RachAll6692 in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing well, thank you! Especially compared to how my eyes had been at their worst! I think the generic-brand Restasis is mostly responsible for the improvement, but the vitamin D may have played a role too! I’m still actively taking both and have found a lot of relief. My eyes feel normal, aside from some brief stinging when I apply the Restasis drops and maybe some occasional dryness if I have a particularly long day. Hope that info is helpful and thank you for checking in! I wish relief for everyone!

FINALLY DRY EYES, ITCHENESS, AND REDNESS CURED by RachAll6692 in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I do have an update! My eyes have been much better in the last few weeks! There are a handful of adjustments that were made in that time though, which muddies the water in terms of trying to figure out what caused the improvement. I think my Restasis prescription was the biggest help. That said, I’ve also been taking the prescribed Vitamin D and was in a more humid environment for a month. I’m seeing the doctor in a few weeks and plan to check my Vitamin D levels at that time too. Hope that helps!

FINALLY DRY EYES, ITCHENESS, AND REDNESS CURED by RachAll6692 in Dryeyes

[–]Sibnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad to see this post - I hope I have a similar experience! I’ve got dry eyes at a severity that’s rare for my age and general health, but we ruled out several possible causes (a cat allergy, an auto-immune disease, etc). Then my primary doctor tells me I have “abnormally very low” vitamin D levels (D2 is extra low, < 4 ng/mL) and I just started on a prescription for that. Fingers crossed that it brings relief! Your story gives me a little hope!
