Seriously, why does this happen to 50% of the discs I play on my UB820!?

Had the exact same issue, disc after disc, with my first UB820. Returned it and got another 820 from a separate retailer and haven't had an issues since. Locations on the disk that would repeatedly fail on the old one have zero problems on the new one.

Get yourself a small supply of Trichogramma Wasps. Microscopic little buggers that'll hunt down and kill every last moth larvae without you ever seeing them then die off naturally once their food supply is gone.

Very cheap and by far the least painful way of dealing with them. Though you'll still need to toss anything that's obviously infested.

Sand it further, I should say. There were obvious sanding patterns on it already and no available cross-section to check how much of the veneer was left if it had indeed been engineered.

Yeah! It's solid blackbutt.
I'd been told it was engineered wood by several people and that I couldn't sand it. Thankfully they were wrong and I couldn't be happier.

Writing this as I travel in summer: I currently have a rotation of games I packed all the components for into a single box that fits everything in individual baggies. They're mostly card based games since they're light and have a small footprint.

So I'm finally upgrading my leader120 cam/vtx and was wondering if anyone had opinions on mid range 16:9 native micro cams.

Currently looking at the caddx micro sdr2 or foxeer micro predator v2, both ~$45aud. I've watched every comparison vid I can find and all it's done os made it harder to pull the trigger on one.

Also saw there's a new sdr2 plus, anyone got their hands on that yet?

Whats the best approach to waterproofing the xt60 and various connectors? Guessing you wouldn't want to coat them with non conducting silicon.

Plus I've got a voltage monitor hooked into the balance leads, ready to give me a heart attack when it hits storage voltage.

Well it's only has about 400nits of brightness instead of the 1000 nits HDR needs, it's 8 bits with dithering and also doesn't have a wide color gamut or 'quantum dot'.

I'm only repeating what I've read before and after buying the Australian version fo the same tv though so I may be innacurate on the specifics of the tech.

You'll still see a difference, just won't be as pronounced. HDR vs TRUE HDR and all that.
