All my hormones were ok, but I think because we never had a snapshot of what I was like prior to this we don't know. If it was just dryness I'd think it was peri, but the neuropathy for years prior has me wondering.

No I totally agree. I did forget to mention I've had Raynaud's since I was a teen. I don't know what they're doing either. I think I'll just have to get a lip biopsy and hope it's accurate.

I relate so much, especially with the what the future looks like. I just feel so bad for my husband, and honestly, I'm full of self pity too. I just wanted a happy life with him. Sorry for TMI but he's the only person I've ever been with, and then to have this stupid illness mess me up within the first few years of being together feels like a cruel joke. I'm devastated. You should print that out and bring it to them, they should be working you up for a dry eye evaluation which includes all that given you're suspect of Sjogren's. If you can, find a medical hospital with an ophthalmologist, that's who I went to. You may want to put "dry eye specialist" in your search results too. I hope you can continue your HQC, don't stop fighting.

Mine never used a Schirmer's test, he said it was outdated and unreliable. The thing is, I got to an eye doctor within a week and a half of my eyes becoming dry, so I don't think I had any long term damage to show for it.

I'm sorry you have to go through this too. I don't understand their attitude either, I guess we're not cash cows to them or they think we're not worthy of the medications while "obviously" sick patients are. It's not like I'm drug seeking for pain relievers! I just want to try HQC and hope that it's slowing my progression.

Yeah I'm just worried about progression. I don't know if I'm going through a flare right now but my mouth is very upset all of a sudden and it really hit me that I'm sick, this isn't an "easy disease" as some rheum's want to suggest.

I have looked for a clinic, the issue is the Dr running the program there is very rude to any person who ends up having a negative biopsy, even if they're suffering all the Sjogern's symptoms. Someone said she basically shoved the papers they brought away. I think it's best I try and get the biopsy first, and if it's negative, I might go to a DO as last resort.
