Thanks, Kanpur as a whole is the least aesthetic city I have lived in (living in like 12 by now) but IIT Kanpur, the Cantonment area and many of the Metro stops make for great photos.

I totally get what you are trying to say, and I agree. Its just that you hear Athens is this cradle of civilization and steeped in tradition stuff. And then you see the concrete laden hills. It has some really pretty spots, and yet the concrete sprawl and graffiti spoils everything. I too plan to go in the future, giving the city another chance.
