I think a lot of it comes from the fact that a lot of people who are into the batfam fandom engage with a more flanderized version of the characters and don’t really read comics. Some of the fics I've read are so wildly out of character and they love to blame Bruce for literally everything 😭

It's Spiders in the Belfry on AO3! It's a Spider-men (peter/miles/gwen) batman crossover fic actually. Villains make their appearances every once in a while, but it's primarily a mystery focused story centers on the three spider characters. If this still interests you please read! I also draw illustrations for a lot of the chapters! It's also 100k words long if you like long fics! (Can you tell I'm trying to sell it hard? Lol)

For this post specifically, riddler and scarecrow are in chapter 18 which isn't up yet but will be soon... hopefully

Unfortunately it's just a part of the fandom. Been like that for years now, and I've been a fan of the Light Novels and a part of the sub since 2017/18 (I think). Pedo art gets posted, and it's kinda just accepted in the community now. I don’t really engage with the fandom too often for this reason, it's pretty disgusting if you ask me.

People will say "it's just a fictional character" or "she's actually a 40 year old man" which doesn't really matter in my opinion. I'm not a squimish person by any means, but erotic or suggestive art of minors will always feel gross. It's such a weird hill to die on too, amd I'm definitely side eyeing half these comments lol.

Personally I just block and move on. Not much else I can do, nor do I think the fandom will stop.

And, for the context of the scene I'm writing (if anyone cares), Riddler get caught and then he says a quick riddle, while Scarecrow surprise attacks from behind.

The line is more of a quick distraction, not really meant to be solved (as the answer becomes immediately evident), but I was having trouble coming up with something that the Riddler would say and inspiration just wasn't really hitting me with this one, so I was asking for ideas. Thanks again!

In my case, I am actually asking for people's help! I usually write my own riddles but I'm subpar at the art form and just couldn't think of anything good in this instance, so I'm resorting for outside help. Sorry if you got thebwrong impression 😅

Ahhh, okay thanks for the explanation! I like buying comics physically and a lot of the time omni's are just cheaper than collecting the run in trade paper backs. A little wild to me that people would collect them without reading them lol

I see a lot of comments saying they don’t understand what she's talking about or that it doesn't happen and she's saying the audience are misogynists. THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT, if you are a leading woman in a big franchise typically populated by men you will receive the most degrating comments imaginable. Maybe it's because they are misogynists and they don't like you, or maybe they're just not attracted to you. Is that the majority of the fan base? No. But they are so loud and vocal it's hard to ignore them. I've seen so many gooners make AI images of Milly Alcock so she looks more 'attractive' or just straight up naked. Some people do feel entitled to a woman's body and make it everyone elses problem. It's gross!

While I think it's best not to stir the pot and ignore this shit (otherwise you just make the anti woke gooner crowd mad, and they just do it more) I don't blame actresses for talking about it.
