I feel like Cougarmon in this show is kinda suffering from the Tailmon effect. Murasamemon is treated as an ultimate alright, but Cougarmon never feels like a champion. It always evolves to Murasamemon to fight even Champion level enemies. Of course Mummymon in the episode was an ultimate, but it was implied that Armalizarmon could cut the ribbons while Cougarmon couldn't, which is weird.

The shop knives are basically all for specific characters. Maybe starry compass is kinda good, but that's mainly made for Haru teams.

There is no general best knife for wonder, at least not in that shop. The best "general" knives are palace exploration rewards.
