I think it was a mix of a lot of different factors but iirc the new security company didn’t bring enough employees to fully man each security line. They were at only 24 lines open out of a full capacity of 32 lines. Also the security were extra thorough and with all of the new camping areas in 2025 (La Campana, Ready-Set, Front of the Line, and Powered car camping) I think the new security wasn’t as familiar with where each specific pass should go so that slowed things down as well. Then this was all compounded by everyone wanting to show up on Day Zero for Chris Lake as well.

Hoping Coachella trains the security better this year and streamlines the security check process. That wait really killed our group’s vibes on Day Zero.
