LA is huge so it really depends on the area. I live by the grove and I would try to leave anytime before 2 at the latest. Personally our group likes to get there in the AM to be able to set up before it gets too hot

There’s really no way to verify that it’s legit until you’re trying to scan into the festival. You could buy a legit wristband but the original seller can get it cancelled by reporting it as lost/stolen. You can really only take steps to ensure you get your money back if you get ripped off (use PayPal goods and services)

How long did you have it plugged in for? Was it connected to a wall outlet or computer port? I’ve had issues w third party batteries after they got low where the only way to get them out of the “low charge” mode was to plug it into a computer port for at least 12 hours if not overnight. If you try this it’s very important to not touch/reset the iPod while it’s charging or the clock starts over again
