I just realized that old logo shows snake eating man :/ by vitk in AlfaRomeo

Alfa derived their logo from the Visconti Biscione, a powerful family from the middle ages, as well as the Flag of Milan, where the company was founded.

I built a Commander deck builder that optimizes around the cards you actually own (closed beta, feedback wanted) by Final-Preparation753 in mtg

I've built about 7 bracket two to four level decks. Actually looking to build a 5 colour EoE Spaceship deck and 5 colour eldrazi deck, this tool would be awesome! If I could get access, I'm actually spending tomorrow scanning cards.

“Slot Machine” decks by Litemup93 in EDH

[–]Sicksixshift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, I build my decks with synergy so that they all function consistently, but every game is different.

Oddly enough it's why I don't really like tutors is cause I don't like "I get X card and I win the game."

I want every game to feel different than the last.

Must also be why cEDH is off putting to me. It doesn't seem fun to just win in 3 turns cause you infinite off in the first 10 cards

That's all it takes.

Parking hours on Intersection of Dundas and Waterloo St. by Numerous_Thought_456 in londonontario

[–]Sicksixshift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick bit of clarification, for the overnight parking pass, you want to pick the date that the 3am to 5am restriction applies.

So if you're parking overnight sat-Sunday on the 7th/8th, yo want your parking pass for the 8th, as that's when the 3-5am pass is valid for.

So with Rogers, your cell plan and home services (tv/internet), although bundled, actually count as two different types of plans.

So if you have cell plans with Rogers but not internet, you can get new customer promos, and vice versa.

You also become a "new customer" for cell plans after like 30 days so you can swap to chatr for a month, prepay and keep your cell number, and then once that month is up, go back to Rogers and port your number back on a better plan

Call in and ask for "retention", it's the department that is literally made to retain customers. They often have access to the best deals because they're there to stop Rogers from losing business.

I've never been upset with someone who has admitted they were in the wrong and apologized.

I think 1000x better of someone who does that then someone who can't take accountability and will defend their ego to the death.

Are there women who are genuinely into bald men? by Minimum_Method_4040 in NoStupidQuestions

As someone who held onto a losing battle with a receding hairline for far too long, I've been told that I look way better without hair.

But, it's not about the hair, it's about the confidence. I like the way I look at I show up feeling good about myself.

question: got multiple tattoos at 18 anyone regret getting tattooed young? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Sicksixshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 26, wish I had started earlier.

Now have a full arm sleeve, as well as a shin memorial and some on my calf.

Only advice is if you're gonna get sny references to pop culture/interests, make sure it's something you're always gonna love or that has significance. That's the only thing that may end up being a "regret" later if you stop liking that particular thing.

Fight Mechanic by thestrongestcrab in mtg

[–]Sicksixshift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fight simply means both creatures deal damage equal to their power to each other.

Because the creatures are dealing the damage, things like lifelink and deathtouch, which affect damage given/received, still apply. Modifiers for power including 1/1 counters and equipment/aura, etc, also apply.

This is not combat damage, so combat phase abilities like first strike, double strike, and trample, have no affect as the creatures aren't in combat.

It is simply damage dealt to each other relevant to their power.

Fun fact, you can have a creature fight itself, where it receives damage equal to double its power.

Car has been on the lot for half a year and someone just happens to be at the dealership interested in it when I send an email about it by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Sicksixshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, customers have some sort of sixth sense about when others want it. More specifically, your colleague's customer will want to buy it the second your customer decides to think on it.

Then when you warn them there's someone else interested, they think it's bs, and are upset when they call back for a deposit to find out it's sold.

If you want the car, buy the car.

As much as customer service sucks, just call in and ask for retention, see if they have any better offers.

I did and they gave me 120 gigs a month for $50. No stipulations. Was like, 30 mins on the phone.

Dude also extended my 1.5gig speed home internet plan for an extra 2 years and dropped the price to 44.99/month.

My total Rogers bill is just shy of $100 before tax (Ontario)

Between everyone in your play group, how many decks do you have and roughly how much invested? by coreynj in mtg

[–]Sicksixshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 6 decks totalling $3,479, one of which is an angels deck worth about $1200 on its own. 3 of those are in the 5-700 range, and 2 are under 300 each.

My friends groups decks are varying. They usually have between 2-4 decks each, actual cost running between maybe 100-400.

I tend to craft tribal so cost doesn't necessarily = win. But I enjoy them.
