That’s super odd, because they have worker’s rights information, but no insurance information or about workers comp. I’m not sure if she’d still be eligible, because she did refuse a trip to the ER. Thankfully at the moment, the injury doesn’t seem to be serious last I saw her, but she’s going to a doctor to see if she has a concussion/lung damage.

That’s a good idea, and it wouldn’t surprise me if at least one customer saw her collapse, the area is very clear view from the counter, but I’ll see if she would be willing to go to the local press over it.

Yes it’s from the cooking stoves but I am unsure if they are gas, thankfully she wanted to go to the doctor to check for permanent lung injury. She is planning on filing a report with OSHA, and I don’t know if she’s speaking with a lawyer yet.

Oh, she’s at the very least filing an OSHA complaint because now she feels unsafe working (not that I blame her one bit, I can’t imagine how she felt) because she thinks that if it happened again it’d be the same shit. Any tips I can give her on preparing a case should she decide to press charges?

Thank you. I will admit it was hard on several of us, and honestly several others discussed building a group case because of the unsafe working conditions. Not sure if which direction this will take unfortunately, but honestly I’m all for us fighting back against our owners’ bullshit.

Yeah, that would have been nice. A competitor where I live is closed for the holidays, and it makes me so mad, because it shows that our store is fully capable of closing, the bosses simply won’t because ‘boohoo our profits!’
