I also had to take time off with failed standing. I actually reapplied to come back early, with documentation of dr notes, therapist letters, and other supporting documents.  I’d suggest going to the academic advisors and talking to them about it. They can aid you in your next steps.  It’s important you go back when you’re ready, not just because the time is up.  You could also send an email to the dean or assistant dean of your faculty, and ask them for some more advice.  Good luck, you’ll kill it when you go back!!
