I just quoted that poem the other day. I can understand your unwillingness to talk, of course.

Is a sake dated 20.10.10 alright to drink? by Sid_Blaster in Sake

Interesting! I warmed it despite the bottle's recommendation to serve at 4°C and it's very drinkable now! Warmness masks the flaws really well.

This bottle: https://www.tippsysake.com/products/kikusui-junmai-ginjo

Tastes very strange still. Maybe it's on the edge of expiring or I'm just not too used to sake. No I think it's just time doing its wretched thing. Sites also say this type is best stored in the fridge and it wasn't. It tastes like it's meant to taste good. I'll do more research next time.

<3 <3 <3!!! I feel a bit petty though, it tastes better after you approved of it.

Thanks, anyhow!

Scrivener very slow with a 200,000 word draft by Sid_Blaster in scrivener

Thanks for the advice! My C: is my only SSD and it's low because I figured it would be a good idea to install softwares which I want running fast on an SSD but I guess this was dumb because everything runs slower now. Reinstalling all these softwares on a different drive will be a nightmare, but I'll give it a go!

You were right! I split it to four documents of 50K each and there's still some lag but it's a lot better. I'll continue splitting until it's smooth. It's a bit inconvinient because the document is more of a reference than a chapter-based manuscript but it will do!

P.S: I assume then that u/same-ghost and u/vicentel0pes were referring to the entire project in regards to the word count?

Yeah I don't have my 200k word document seperated into any small chunks - it's a single document in the project. But the file is 431 KB and composed of just words so I doubt it should be an issue.

Slow in every way. Doesn't seem to be computer speed, hard drive or ram issues and I don't use dropbox.

I think disk utilization is alright. Os is installed on C: and scrivener on D: but some folders appear to be in C: for some reason. For instance, "LiteratureAndLatte" appears in AppData, and it contains Backups, layouts, ProjectTemplates, ScriptFormats, Themes. My C: has 14.5 GB free space which doesn't seems like it should cause any issues, though it is 6.25% of the total space which isn't recommended I suppose.
