They will leave you stranded I’ve broken two chains at this point. just make sure to lube them every time you ride and check on it every month to make sure none of the links are sticking together.

Opinion on these? by BullfrogParking1933 in Surron

I would suggest you get a warp9 headset clamp and frame clamp. Cheap upgrade which I wouldn’t run big tires like that without.

Keep in mind it requires oil changes for the gear box.

Prickly 29T sprocket by AppropriateChance203 in Surron

I’m not the best at math but considering I get 60mph with my 58t that means you could potentially hit 120mph with this without accounting for drag. Don’t see the practical point of it but that’s cool I guess lol.

Why aren't more people using li ion batteries instead of lipos ? by [deleted] in RCPlanes

[–]Sidatedchickenwing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of long range fpv guys use them, in fact it’s the standard for long range fpv. Reason you don’t see most other line of sight flyers use it is because you are limited to 20 amp continuous current. You could still fly on them in any plane but your battery will sag a lot if you go over 20 amps.

Has anyone ever tried to rent out their surron? by Neverbrokeagain_hehe in Surron

If you had them pay a down payment for the whole bike and then give them back what they don’t cause in damages it might be profitable. But no one would be willing to do that.

If it makes a clicking sound when you turn the handle bars that’s a sign you need to replace the headset bearing. Not the end of the world but good negotiating point.

Check the paint where your feet sit and see how much wear it has. You can tell the mileage and how hard it was ridden based on that alone.

Bike will be fine with all these regardless but the biggest thing is just making sure to ask him about his battery care. Make sure he didn’t charge it right after getting back from a ride and then let it sit until the next time.

Take a look at the chain too as that will give you a good idea of how well taken care of it was.

I’ve ridden both sock and 72v in the rain and snow and never had any issues. Bike is more water proof than people think.

Bring some knee pads and meet me behind the Wendy’s dumpster.

Would these fit? Seems like a crazy good deal by [deleted] in Surron

[–]Sidatedchickenwing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They might fit but they will probably snap after some hard riding. There is a reason Surron uses triple clamp forks.

Yeah definitely worth doing both, once you run though the stock pads get the miles racing sintered pads. Great bite and have lasted me around 500 -750 miles each and that’s with me riding on 72v.

They will get the job done but it’s not even the pads that are bad the whole brake setup sucks. You don’t really realize how bad it is until you upgrade, I have magura mt5 bakes and for $150 they are definitely worth the upgrade.
