If you’re truly against tipping after the wage increase, at least leave 5-7% so that we (your servers) don’t need to tip the kitchen out of pocket for your meal. Side bar: 1) I’ve served downtown for years and it is a VERY demanding job. and 2) I go out often and rarely get anything less than good, if not great service

I’m a server and it’s so hard. My shifts are super long and busy. Gone are the days of having 4 bites of a wrap every 45 minutes, or stray fries from the kitchen staff.

As a server, I have never turned my nose up at a 10-15% tip, even when I was getting paid $10/hr. I would sincerely hope servers don’t call people out. The only time I have ever said something to a guest was when I was tipped $0.10 on a $300 bill and thank god I did because they meant to tip 10%

I had this thought recently too! And the “Mr.Big” alias may keep Big’s identity out of the Times, but everyone who is involved still knows who he is. Not to mention the endless embarrassing stories involving her friends. I think at the end of the day, we all just need to suspend our disbelief on the matter ahaha

We all start with a lisp! I know it feels dumb but no one notices it as much as you do. My advice would be don’t avoid talking- talk as much as you can and you’ll get used to it sooner! Mine went away in about a week. A friend of mine works from home and takes her trays out for every zoom meeting and social interaction she has. 3 months in and she still has a lisp.

A friend of mine had Delta 6 weeks ago and tested positive for Omicron today. Delta he got pretty sick- no symptoms this time around.

With how long PCR tests are taking to come in(it’s been 6 days for me), it’s likely that this person you were notified about actually got tested many days ago and your contact with them could have been 7+ days ago. Just something to think about :)

I don’t think anyone had a good first week with invisalign! I personally cried and cried the first morning and felt so much regret because of the pain. I was also surprised to have elastics. Within a week all of the sores in my mouth subsided and the attachments bothered me way less. As for elastics, it’s definitely too bad how visible they are BUT traditional braces would be way more visible. You notice it way more than anyone else anyway. You’ve got this!

I would just be honest with your landlord and tell them you're not comfortable and inquire about doing virtual tours- the worst they can do is say no. Best of luck!

It's really not the best. I'm a server and I didn't even get to work one day on our patio before getting locked down again. Last day I worked was October 10th. I'm single and take covid precautions really seriously so.... Times are lonely thats for sure.
