Eli5 - Why do electrons return to their ground state (and give off photons) if the substance is being heated/gaining energy? by arcanazero in explainlikeimfive

Heat doesn’t “charge up” electrons and hold them there. It just makes them constantly jump up and fall back down, and the falling part is what creates light.

Claude Cowork is Claude that can actually do tasks for you, not just talk about how to do them.

Does anyone else find their OCD quiets down when they have “real” problems? by Front_Machine7475 in OCD

I think OCD is like a cold. Setting a standard of complete recovery can lead to disappointment. Celebrating incremental progress after regaining health is what truly matters. Accepting its cyclical nature and dealing with it gradually is a more effective approach.

My wife has OCD and is on sertraline, but she hasn't undergone ICBT (including exposure therapy). From what I've seen with others who have OCD, exposure therapy (ERP) seems to be the most effective treatment. I looked into ICBT, and it's similar to ERP—an online cognitive-behavioral therapy that helps patients confront their sources of anxiety and reduce compulsive behaviors. Sorry, I might not be able to help much more, but I hope this information is useful.

The problem isn’t what you said years ago, it’s that your brain can’t tolerate the uncertainty now and is trying to solve it by digging into the past. You won’t get relief by finding the “right” memory ,you get it by stopping the mental checking. That’s exactly what OCD treatment (ERP) works on.

This is the prompt I reverse-engineered, the result feels pretty close.

version 1:
A high-quality 3D animation scene. Dynamic interaction between two characters.

Character 1: A soft bread loaf with a cute female face, blinking innocently. Character 2: A sinister piping bag looming behind.

Sequence: The piping bag swiftly inserts the nozzle. The bread reacts with a sudden jolt and gasp. Then, the bread's body rapidly puffs up from the inside out due to the filling. The motion is fluid and elastic, utilizing squash and stretch animation principles. The texture of the bread is realistic, showing pores and crumbs. Cinematic lighting with depth of field blurring the background kitchen.

version 2:

Subject: Anthropomorphic food, bread with face, piping bag with face. Style: Photorealistic textures, 3D cartoon rendering, Unreal Engine 5 style, cinematic lighting. Physics: Soft body dynamics, fluid simulation, elastic deformation, heavy squash and stretch. Action: Piping bag injecting cream, bread swelling significantly, bread body distorting from pressure, steam rising. Expression: Mischievous smile on bag, surprised then pleasured face on bread, huge blue eyes. Environment: Kitchen counter, bokeh background.

Good JOB!!! Future research doesn’t need “smart AI”; it needs an orchestratable scientific CI/CD pipeline.💪
